Another Example Of Lazy Protestantism
No suprise here...
As I've brought up before Click Here, Protestantism consistently takes the path of least resistance to Salvation. With Advent rapidly coming to an end and Christmastide almost upon us, let's take a gander at one of the most often cited passages in Sacred Scripture, The Holy Gospel Of St Luke, Chapter 2: Verse14.
Now this is a very short verse. Every single version of The Bible has it starting off with "Glory to God in the highest..." as it should be. But look at what the Protestant bibles do. They have a very watered down, happy-clappy salutation to everyone on good old planet Earth.
The Catholic version (the original ones) have it right. God isn't sending His blessings to everyone. Only to "men of goodwill". And as common sense tells us, "men of goodwill" are those who have found favor with God. NOT everyone. Again, Protestantism is attempting to make Salvation something easy.
The Protestant King James Version (authorized)
Luke 2:14 - "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."
The Protestant New King James Version -
Luke 2:14 - "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"
The Traditional Catholic Douay-Rheims Bible
2:14 - "Glory to God in the highest: and on earth peace to men of good will."
The Latin Vulgate (the first complete Bible) -
2:14 - "gloria in altissimis Deo et in terra pax in hominibus bonae voluntatis"
The Original Greek that the Vulagte is directly translated-
"Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased."
Doca en uyistoiv qew kai epi ghv eirhnh en anqrwpoiv eudokiav.

What's wrong with that?
Everything.
Moral relativism creeping into Protestant liturgy (that's giving them too much credit for using liturgy) is a cancer that needs amputation.
