The SSPX And The New Mass
What the Society really says
There are many that claim that the SSPX is and has been calling for the abolition of the Mass of Paul VI (The New Mass) if there is to be any regularization between Rome and the Society. Here is what Fr. Franz Schmidberger, first Assistant to the Superior General of the Society said at a recent press conference in Rome:
"We do not demand the abolition of the conciliar Mass at first. With the liberalization of the Tridentine Mass, the conciliar Mass will disappear of itself..." Click Here For Full Story
While I'm speaking of the SSPX, I'd like to clear up a few things. I attend an Indult Mass. I don't attend Mass celebrated by the SSPX. With that said, I'd like to add that I support most, if not all of what the Society of St. Pius X stands for and believes in .
If it were not for His Excellency Archbishop Marcel Lefevbre, the Traditional Latin Mass would have been dead and buried long ago. Mark my words... one day (hopefully soon) the so-called "excommunication" against the clerics and religious of the SSPX will be declared null and void, and God willing, Archbishop Lefevbre will be lifted to the altar as a Saint.

Good post, these things take time I suppose, Joan of Arc was burnt as a witch in the 1400's and became a saint in the 1900's.
....and it was Catholic bishops that sentenced her to the stake.
Parallel to Archbishop Lefevbre? Hmmmm......
The whole situation in the Church vis a vis Tradition is a disaster.
I dont attend the Indult mass exclusively -- and I only do so when there isnt a Mass celebrated by the SSPX within a reasonable driving distance -- because permission is not needed to celebrate the Mass of All Ages. It is an insult to every Catholic to assert that "permission" is necessary to give glory to God correctly.
