My Soul Doth MAGNIFY The Lord
...a sword shall pierce your heart, and the thoughts of many shall be revealed
Looks as if Protestant veneration of The Holy Mother is on the rise in England. As we all know, only Catholicism and the various schismatic Eastern Orthodox hold The Blessed Mother is such high regard. I seriously doubt if England will be going Russian Orthodox anytime soon. So with that said... I wonder just who could fill the void of a collapsing and dying Anglican Communion? http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/new.php?n=5370
Obviously, The Holy Mother is drawing more to her. When you go to Mary, you go to her Son. When you go to her Son here on earth, you go to her Son's Church. Yes... it really is that simple.
Speaking of Anglicans who Crossed The Tiber, I wanted to post this from the Venerable Cardinal Newman as he was answering objections to the Holy Mother's title "Co-Redemptrix":
"Why do you protest against Our Lady being called Co-redemptrix when you are ready to accept the immeasurably more glorious titles ascribed to her by the Fathers: Mother of God, Second Eve, Mother of All the Living, Mother of Life, Morning Star, Mystical New Heaven, Center of Orthodoxy, the all-undefiled Mother of Holiness, and the like?"
Another interesting tid-bit I came across was that upon his death, G.K. Chesterton was named by Pope Pius XI a "Defender of the Catholic Faith". COOL!

Wow Defender of the Faith, a blogging nickname for me, the real deal for him!
Interesting. However, one must wonder whether these Britons will be drawn to the Novus Ordo Faith or to the Traditional Faith. It will do them no good to become Novus Ordo Catholics.
Don't lket this passing fad with Protestantism get you down. Much like a bad meal... this too, shall pass
