O'Malley Wins The The Apocalypse 3:16 Award
What's "Apocalypse 3:16"?
In a time when Holy Mother The Church needs strong men, strong convictions, strong voices... what do we get? Weak-kneed, mealy-mouthed, tap dancers the likes of Archbishop O'Malley. This Sunday, he will have his message of love and compassion... and to a certain degree, acceptance of homosexuals read in the over 300 parishes in the Archdiocese of Boston.
The good Archbishop's message is long (and I mean long) on "luv", and anemically short on any sort of moral absolutes. I guess a straightforward condemnation is out of the question.
But hey, put on a happy face! I'm sure that if O'Malley were a doctor, he'd tell cancer patients "...but look at all the weight you'll lose!"

For some time, Archbishop O'Malley has been a disappointment. I remember when he was appointed to the Boston Archdiocese. The secular media was, for the most part, favorable toward him. Not a good sign for the faithful.
Something similar happened in my diocese. When we were told who our new bishop would be, the secular media had nothing but positive things to say about him. When the positive quotes from a nun and others started coming, and nothing negative was heard, I warned others that it was not a good omen. And you guessed it, it's business-as-usual in my diocese.
Do pray for our clergy but also let them know that you are watching them and you will be holding them accountable when the faith and morals teachings are not advanced, especially when it involves the children.
