This Is A Lovely Whine...
Very fruity, but oddly enough, also very bitter
Looks like the latest temper tantrum for the good folks at the National Catholic(?) Reporter is that they are somewhat miffed at the American bishops. Their latest op-ed piece bemoans that the US bishops seem to have a tough time "challenging the Vatican", and that a church should have a "national identity" and lastly, how democracy should be used to "find answers and solutions".
Ummmm.... NCR folks... there's a word for people like that, they're call members of the Protestant Episcopal Church, USA. http://natcath.org/NCR_Online/archives2/2005d/112505/112505zb.htm
So it's a rather large Catholic Caveman "Tango Sierra" to the good folks at NCR. Much like the new slogan for McDonald's: "I'm Lovin' It".
Good bye, good luck, good riddance... and don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.
