He looks like he, too, wore the uniform for his country. A true Caveman, in the finest tradition!

Speaking of great fathers, did you see that today the Holy Father declared Pope Pius XII Venerable?????

Love the white tee shirt and rolled-up jeans. That's how my dad looks in all those old pics too. To me, that's what daddies look like. ;)

Hey, good-looking guy! He also looks like he had a great sense of humor. :-)

I miss my mama. This will be my third Christmas without her. I'm sorry for your loss, too. It seems around this time of year, we feel it the most.

your Dad reminds me of my Dad when I was a kid, many years (50) ago. Dad served in Korea right after the truce, He was a fireman attached to the engineers at Camp Casey, always loved his stories about blasting the locals off of their huts with the fire hose. Boy was he built, years of hard farm work and the army left him in great shape, he is now 75 and still is out in the barn every morning at 5 helping me milk the cows, his one passion
Of the five boys 4 served, they made a deal with the draft board each would take their turn, the oldest serviced tanks in Korea on the edge of the fighting, the second was in Germany for his hitch, lucky dog, then Dad and the youngest served in the air force reserve, the fifth went to the seminary, VII turned him off and he left before ordination

Great picture VSC. I lost my dad 44 years ago, just before my 21st birthday. He worked his behind off feeding and protecting my mother and 8 children. I have really missed him over the years. He had a way of getting my attention when my attention needed to be got. (God bless you Dad - and thanks!)
