...And She's from the Diocese Of San Jose
Of course
Wonderful lil' bit of sugar-coating from the National Catholic Distorter. Here's some of it; (Emphasis mine)
Women religious not complying with Vatican study
"There's been almost universal resistance. We are saying 'enough!' "
She [Sr. Margaret Gregg] said women religious have been virtually unanimous in spirit that they have been living out their missions, as directed by the gospels and by the Second Vatican Council, which called upon religious communities to go out in the world to work among the poor and to build more just and peaceful structures.
"Vatican II took us out of the ghettos and into ecology, feminism and justice in the world," she said. "The Vatican still has a difficult time accepting that."

IMHO opinion this article is: Lies, lies & more lies. But what else would you expect from the Non-Catholic Distorter?
You notice she completely ignores the existance of the faithful groups like Mother Angelica's or the Nashville Dominicans etc.
As for the resitance movement only among their gang & only because they know that they are NOT living out their missions as directed by the Gospels or Vatican II. So they know that the Vatican is right to go after them for their rebellion, their dissidence & their selling their souls to Satan.
This is an prime example of the "Spirit of Vatican II" that Sioux City Bishop Nickless said needed to be exorcised.
The Vatican is having trouble accepting Vatican II? I'm sure that would be news to Papa Ben, who participated and helped write some of it.
Translation, "We are not wrong the Vatican is, because we interpret Vatican II to mean that we can do what we want as long as it can be explained away as "peace and justice"
All I got to say is S.N.A.F.U!

I have read ALL of the documents of V-II, although it has been 30 years since I went through them. They are prolix in the extreme, more so IMHO than any other General Council in Church history. The above statement applies to the laity, not the religious. So what we have instead are some pseudo-nuns going out into the world and the laity going behind the proverbial altar rail as pseudo-priests. Nice goin', Sis.
And it would seem that Sr. Margaret is exercising the Magisterium of the Church in authentically interpreting V-II while Pope Bennie and the Vatican (and presumably the world's Catholic bishops) are not.
I wonder how she interprets the V-II teaching of the CC as the Universal Sacrament of Salvation, the modern version of Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus (IMHO of course)???
BTW, where are her (polyester) stretch pants?
AL said it for me....LIES, LIES, and MORE LIES!! That's the only thing they're good at...that's the "only" thing they know how to do. KICK EM ALL OUT!!!!!!!!
Okay, Sr. Margie, go on and go out and then stay out. What use have you for the Church anyway? You haven't been near a real Catholic Church for about 30 years, so why the uproar? Just go.
Without knowledge of Magisterial documents including Scripture, someone who reads only Vatican II documents has no foundation upon which to interpret their meaning. Thus, such people ignorant of the reality of the Church feel free to have a field day with the souls of anyone they can put it over on.
I wonder if these Leftist-Catholic clergy have even read the VII documents. Could it be that Sr. Margaret Gregg and her ilk are simply parroting "Spirit of VII" pap?
Do they really believe that their social-justice activism replaces their obligation to live a Christ-centered life? Or that their activism makes them more Christian than other Christians?
G-d help us all.
