Judas And The Jackass
...And they're all Democrats. What a shocker
Helemt tip to the good folks at OneNationUnderGod.org
I've said it before, and I'll say it again... the Democratic Party is evil. In every way, shape and form. Those people are simply evil. And as I've said before, there are alleged Catholics who place the salvation of their souls in the very same Democratic Party, and essentially told God's Church to go to hell.

Thirty-five Catholic lawmakers cosponsor bill to Repeal Defense of Marriage Act
New York Congressman introduces bill to eliminate protections for traditional marriage in the United States which would lead to litigation forcing states to recognize same-sex marriages
The Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) defines marriage as a "legal union between one man and one woman for purposes of all federal laws, and provides that states need not recognize a marriage from another state if it is between persons of the same sex." Thirty-nine states have passed legislation and constitutional amendments to protect marriage as the union between one man and one woman.
Last week Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-New York) introduced the Respect Marriage Act - H.R. 3567. In reading the title one might think this bill is about protecting traditional marriage...just the opposite.
In a statement on his website, Rep. Nadler writes, "The introduction of the Respect for Marriage Act responds directly to a call from President Obama for congressional action on the issue. As the president recently confirmed: 'I stand by my long-standing commitment to work with Congress to repeal the so-called Defense of Marriage Act. It's discriminatory, it interferes with states' rights, and it's time we overturned it."
H.R. 3567 is off to a good start having 90 co-sponsors at its introduction -- 35 Catholic.
If it is true that all Catholics are obliged to oppose the legal recognition of homosexual unions, Catholic politicians are obliged to do so in a particular way, in keeping with their responsibility as politicians.
When legislation in favour of the recognition of homosexual unions is proposed for the first time in a legislative assembly, the Catholic law-maker has a moral duty to express his opposition clearly and publicly and to vote against it. To vote in favour of a law so harmful to the common good is gravely immoral.
When legislation in favour of the recognition of homosexual unions is already in force, the Catholic politician must oppose it in the ways that are possible for him and make his opposition known; it is his duty to witness to the truth.
Below is a list of the Catholic U.S. Representatives co-sponsoring H.R. 3567. Please ask them to reconsider their support and remind them of their responsibility as a Catholic lawmaker.

As Captain Louis Renault would say: "Round up the usual suspects.' & it looks like you did.
Let's just quit calling these people what they really are heretics.
OOPS, my comment should have said, Let's just quit calling these people Catholics and call them what they really are,"heretics".

Going on Simplex's comments I would like to slightly rewrite my comment to say: "Round up the usual heretics!"
If this isn't an act of public defiance of the Church, I've never seen one. Excommunicate the lot of them.
Anyone want to bet they will all expect to receive Holy Communion on Sunday -- and not one of them will be denied.
(Charles Rangel and Dennis Kucinich are Catholic!! Boy, does that say something about their bishops.)
Not taking that bet FAB.
Charlie Rangel??? You gotta be kidding!?
Money will buy ANYTHING..Power, Popularity, and your SOUL!!!!!!!!
SOLD TO THE DEVIL!
The Democratic party originally instituted legislature that secured civil rights. They inspired an entire generation to service (know I had an interest in the Peace Corps). What happened to the party that once did push forward a great social justice agenda that meshed with our Catholic values?
The Democratic party originally instituted legislature that secured civil rights.
Actually, per capita, more Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than did Democrats. Also, not one piece of Civil Rights legislation happened under either presidencies of FDR or WW. However, slavery was abolished under a Republican president.
They inspired an entire generation to service (know I had an interest in the Peace Corps).
Only Democrats inspire individuals to serve? That's an eitist statement.
What happened to the party that once did push forward a great social justice agenda that meshed with our Catholic values?
Please keep in mind that so-called Social Justice" insn't an end all to the reason being for The Church. What ever happened to striving for Salvation?
And while we're at it, the Republicans are the ones that have historically strived to encourage citizens to individual achievement and personal accountability. That seems a whole lot more Catholic, than does the Democrat belief in the Nanny State and Governm, ent will take care of everything.
Democrats are the political version of Protestants.
Re: Catholic values
The "Catholic" high school to which we sent our son and daughter used to spout "Catholic values" all the time, but it rarely spouted "Catholicism." We had a very worldly student body. I can't blame it all on the school, but mostly on the parents and the larger society in which we live.
"Catholic values" does not equal "Catholicism." For example, Evangelical Protestants have largely "Catholic values" in morality (not sure about birth control) that is evidenced principally in their vigorous opposition to abortion on demand, opposition to "gay" marriage, opposition to euthanasia, etc. Nonetheless, Evangelical Protestantism does not equal Catholicism.
I would have gladly settled for our "Catholic" high school essentially being Evangelical Protestant instead of the worldly mess that it was, even given that the academic quality of the education my children gained there was first rate.
