Obama lashes waste in defense spending

PHOENIX — President Barack Obama on Monday condemned special interests and their "exotic projects" that he said drain the defense budget of money needed for U.S. military forces battling everything from nuclear weapons to "18th century style piracy and 21st century cyber threats."
Going after lawmakers as well, he said, "If Congress sends me a defense bill loaded a bunch of pork, I will veto it." You gotta be shittin' me. This warmed-over Marxist has more pork in his trillion dollar agenda than a good ol' fashioned Nof' Care-lina pig-pickin'.
I have three words for The Zero: Cash. For. Clunkers.
No, I take that back. Five words: Nationalization. Of. The. Automobile. Industry.
No, no, I take that back. Two words: Banking. Bailout.
No, no, no, I take that back. Three words it is: Screw. You. Zero.
But for whatever amazing reason... he finds pork in the Defense budget. Wow. How much you want to bet that an example of his definition of "exotic projects" will be pretty much the same percentage pay-raises the average schmuck in uniform got under Clinton? And if you didn't know... under that idiot, military yearly pay-raises were in the neighborhood of 2-3%. Just enough to keep the lowest ranking enlisted on Food Stamps.

And under the FWIW File, I remember as a young Buck Sergeant back in '83, Reagan ensured a 14.3% pay raise for the military.

No way 0bama cares about the military or wasteful spending. I think TOTUS was just playing a practical joke on him.
Exotic projects such as enough 5.56mm ammunition for the troops, reasonable medical care, and a living wage (as you have said, Cavey). But this of course is asking too much of the American tax payer! :-((

Get ready for this - In my last few years in The Corps (under douchebag clinton), I remember that all SNCOs and Officers who qualified pistol Expert the previous year(s) did not have to re-qual.
Reason being? Not enough bullets.
There were also a number of times when the SNCOs and Officers had to pass the hat around so we could buy tiolet paper for the troops that lived in the barracks.

Aside from the fact you just repeated yourself *gut wrenching laugh*, I recall that my daughter's assistant YMCA-youth league, assistant basketball coach (she was a little girl then) was a mustang active duty USAF Major with 22 years who was going to retire, but was waiting until Clinton left office first. He told me that there was no way that he would have Clinton sign his "Bye Bye" papers.
Funny thing. Clinton has been called by the writer Tony Morrison, the Nobel laureate, "America's first Black President." This wonderful Major (who was so very good to my young daughter) is an African-American!
Slick Willy, the Democrats, and now our current "O" are not fooling all Black Americans, in particular those Bible-believing, Evangelical, anti-Abortion, anti-Same Sex, anti-Euthanasia, African-American pastors and their congregations.
I never could hit the broad side of a barn with a 45 ACP Model 1911, but managed (just barely) to shoot Marksman with the M-16. I think I will leave the warrior business to the Marines! (and the Navy Seals).
I know as recently as 2003, an E5 with two children and a stay-at-home wife qualified for both WIC and food stamps.
I think that was the same year the GS guys complained that the military was getting all the raises and got hooked up with the same (bigger to catch up to inflation) pay raises the military had.....
If he doesn't cut military, how is he going to find money for Obama-Corps?
