REMINDER!
The Traditional Latin Mass returns to Wilmington

It's right around the corner, gang! After forty long years, the Traditional Latin Mass returns to the Shrine. From the Diocese of Raleigh, NC official website;

Mass in the Extraordinary Form To Be Offered Monthly

Beginning in August, a regular Mass in the Extraordinary Form will be offered at St. Mary's Parish and Shrine in Wilmington on the last Sunday of each month at 7 p.m. The first of these, a Solemn High Mass, will take place on Sunday, August 30, with the Reverend Paul M. Parkerson as principal celebrant.

The Forma extraordinaria, commonly referred to as the Tridentine Mass, is also offered in four other churches in the Diocese of Raleigh: Sacred Heart Cathedral, 4:30pm on the First Sunday of every month; Sacred Heart Church in Dunn, at noon every Sunday; Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Rocky Mount, at 6 p.m. every Sunday; and St. Bernadette Church in Fuquay-Varina, at 9 a.m. every Tuesday.
If you know anyone from Camp Lejeune to Myrtle Beach to Fort Bragg, pass the word! And I have to also ask, for those who are planning on attending this Mass, if you're going to write a check, please make it payable to: The Extraordinary Form Ministry in c/o Fr. Paul Parkerson.

I live in another part of the country but a URGE anyone within driving distance who loves the classical Mass or even has an interest in learning more about it, to make every effort to attend the TLM in Wilmington. A large showing of worshippers will sned a powerful message to those bent on stipping the Holy Father's desire to make the liturgy more Godly.

Why so late in the evening? That time is liturgical Monday so I am presuming TLM is not a Sunday mass.

I've been stationed at Fort Bragg long enough now and still have never been to the beach. This is probably the best reason I would ever have hoped to get to go. "I have to go to church!"
