Let The Spin Begin!
Don't tell me that the Kennedy Clan doesn't OWN the Catholic Church in Boston
WARNING!! Harsh language alert.
Oh, what a good Catholic boy, Teddy Kennedy was! *sniff, sniff*
Bullshit. He was a murderer rivaled only by the likes of Stalin, Hitler and Mao. He also had the personal scruples of a $2 whore. And that's an insult to $2 whores.
Good ol' Carinals Sean and Barnie must be nice and cozy in Fat-Boy's rather bulbous hip pocket. But hey... when you're broke and need a quick influx of cash... it's always good for some to whore themselves out to the highest bidder. How pathetic. Try not to puke as you read some of the below information -- Enjoy some of these snippets from The Telegraph (of London);
The funeral will take place Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica commonly known as the Mission Church in the Mission Hill neighbourhood of Boston.
President Barack Obama will deliver a eulogy at Ted Kennedy's funeral mass later this week, a White House official has said. Then there's this from some dip-shit named Dan Gilgoff who writes for US News & World Report;
How long did it take for Kennedy to get his first marriage annulled?
Between the divorce and the annulment, there was about 10 or 11 years. They never really announced when the annulment was granted. We all became aware of it when [Kennedy] took [Holy Communion] from Cardinal [Bernard] Law at his mother's funeral in '95. But the divorce was in 1982. No real answer, huh Danny Boy? Don't fret, the spin was good. Funny how the Catholic Church never made the announcement... it was Fat-Boy's act of reception that "made it public".
And never mind this little fact of life;
"A Catholic who publicly, and after admonition, supports pro-abortion legislation is not to receive Holy Communion and is not to be given Holy Communion."
"Individual bishops and priests simply have to do their duty. They have to confront politicians, Catholic politicians, who are sinning gravely and publicly in this regard. And that's their duty."

Eulogies at the Mass?! I believe this is another novelty of Vatican 2. Eulogies should be at the wake before the Mass.
Forget that Altar Boy, this child murderer shouldn't even be having a funeral Mass at all.
I can't wait to see who is going to say this Mass, and you know it's going to be huge concelebrated mess. It'll be orchestrated to appear as if Teddy and the Church were one big happy family.
Plus! Which "catholic" politicians will receive the Eucharist there? I can't wait to watch this travesty on tv.
I completely agree with your post. I live in New England and we have been flooded with media reports about how wonderful Fat Teddy was. They are ready to make this murderer a saint because of all the supposed good work he did for the poor and less fortunate. The guy was a parasite who did more to advocate atrocities like abortion and gay marriage than most other politicians. It also turns my stomach to hear that Obama will give the eulogy in a Catholic Church. What about eulogizing the 50 million murdered babies that these scumbags are responsible for?
In this case Kennedy was a public sinner, which requires a public penance...He may have well went to Confession before he died, however the grave matter and the public account of such sins requires public reparation and hence he should be denied a funeral Mass.
If the USCCB actually was in the business of saving souls for Christ, the funeral would be denied and the Church would use it as a teaching moment. I pray that when I reach judgement, that I end up in a place where Ted is not located. I also do not want to be with Hitler and Stalin and others who were responsibile for mass murder. I am confident that these prayers still leave two choices with hope of seeing God.
. . . the grave matter and the public account of such sins requires public reparation and hence he should be denied a funeral Mass.
He was never declared by the Church to be a notorious (i.e., grave and public) sinner. Thus, he cannot be denied a funeral mass, especially if he received the last sacraments, one of which includes Confession. I don't plan to attend, though.
RE: eulogies
Even in the modern mass, eulogies are not to be given during mass--only before or after, such as at the viewing or wake
Adeo,
That's a good point you raise that he's never been *formally* declared by the Church to be a notorious sinner, but there's no getting around what Abp Burke stated on the subject.
I wouldn't think that under those circumstances, nothing that grand would have to be declared... it's obvious what a douchebag he is.
Oops... was.
Too bad no bishop or priest has the nads to stand up and formally declare that Kennedy does not deserve a Catholic funeral. He was a public scandal and he advocated abomination. That the f------g nihilistic criminal is to give his eulogy makes me cringe and makes my blood boil (and I am a Canuck!).
But then I think - as should you Caves - all will be resolved on Judgment Day.
Remember that wonderful beatitude of Our Lord: Blessed are those persecuted for seeking righteousness... there's is the Kingdom of Heaven.
Oops... was.
Do you mean, Cavey, that he's no longer a douchebag? Must have been all used up! LOL
Even Catholic funerals for famous people where Bishops, Cardinals, associated high level-churchmen, politicians, famous people, actors, etc., show up are political happenings, not really or strictly religious gatherings. I would consider this funeral to be a second Democratic Convention. Michael Moore might even show up and say something nice for a change.
OK, it's gonna be a goat rope.
Cynically yours,
