Just To Make Sure I Understand This Correctly
Liberal media? Nahhhh....
Comedian Wanda Sykes has President Obama in stitches as she
performs at Saturday's White House Correspondents' dinner.
In conjunction to the posting I just did on the White House Correspondents' Dinner, allow me to add that David Feherty just screwed up BIG TIME. You see, he just made a politically incorrect joke about liberals."From my own experience visiting the troops in the Middle East, I can tell you this though," Feherty wrote toward the end of his column. (Remember, the closest Wanda Sykes has been to the Middle East, is saying that Rush Limbaugh is an al-Qaeda terrorist. But don't forget, Feherty is the bad guy here.)
"Despite how the conflict has been portrayed by our glorious media (careful, David!!), if you gave any U.S. soldier a gun with two bullets in it, and he found himself in an elevator with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Osama bin Laden, there's a good chance that Nancy Pelosi would get shot twice, and Harry Reid and bin Laden would be strangled to death." (Not exactly a rib-tickler, but then again, he was asked his opinion. It's real simple... if you don't want some one's opinion, don't ask.)
Feherty, a former Ryder Cup player who grew up in Northern Ireland, has gone to Iraq over Thanksgiving the past two years to visit with U.S. troops, and he created a foundation to help wounded soldiers. (And Sykes has done what for the troops?)
CBS Sports distanced itself from Feherty's writing, saying it was "an unacceptable attempt at humor and is not in any way condoned, endorsed or approved" by the network. The PGA Tour also criticized him for an attempt at humor that "went over the line." (Death knell. This guy'll be lucky if he's caddying for a living.)

For the time being, he's a golf analyst for CBS Sports, and was among five Dallas residents who wrote for "D Magazine".
Some of the article from FoxNews.com; (Emphasis and comments mine)

Feherety has not only been demonized, he's also probably lost his job. But the career of F-List comedienne Sykes will skyrocket.
Remember fellow Bloglodytes, there's a difference between asking some one's opinion in a publication that will barely even be seen outside the city limits of Dallas, Texas... and MC'ing a gala event for the President of the United States in front of the whole world.

Job for the officer ripping a new one in a previous video post of yours, go get em guys, I am sick of the whole bunch
As you say, if you don't want an opinion, don't ask...silly liberals.
I only saw Wanda Sykes once on TV and thought she was about as funny as a cobra bite. LOW class, crass, crude, and a disgrace to her race.
Can you imagine Bill Cosby saying the things she did?
I saw her on the idiot box this morning doing her slam Rush Limbaugh routine. Wanda doesn't seem very bright to me. I thought that comedians and comediennes were supposed to be brighter than the average entertainer.
When you have a low class Chicago hood and his cronies, wanda sykes is really raising the bar of class for them and their supporters. How can you get lower class than supporting the murder of a baby using far worse torture than has been used on any terrorist to date.
Who the ^$*% is Wanda Sykes, and why should anyone care?
The difference is that what Feherty said was accurate, I suppose.
Neither was all that funny, honestly. Bring back the Coneheads.
I found her comment hilarious. I don't know what the big deal is.
Comedians like Ann Coulter, Wanda Sykes and Rush Limbaugh say outrageous things all the time.
Don't take them seriously, if you don't like 'em move on, but remember, the Dinner in question is
rather closed, not everyone gets
invited so if you watched you're
taking the risk that you won't like
what you see.
Tracy,
I guess it was the Correspondents in the phrase White House Correspondents Dinner that made me think there was nothing to hide.
But amyhow, like I said in my post, just how far do you think a Republican would have gotten this far with alleged humor like this?
