St. Anne's, San Diego
Pennies, nickles and dimes made this happen

Fr. Carl Gismondi, FSSP, Pastor.

And all this was paid for by parishioners from their Renovation Fund (that has been on-going since October when FSSP took over a church the diocese was on the verge of closing) which has also included returning the interior of the church and sanctuary to its former (pre-Vat2) glory: marble floor in sanctuary, altar moved back to its original position against the back wall, new marble altar rail, church tented for termites and then most of the sub-floor torn up and replaced due to 80+ years of termite work, then the floor replaced with new wood floor which meant moving all the pews twice as this was done over a few weeks but Masses continued on schedule.

This is the kind of real life story I love! Just to ask your prayers and those of other Catholic cave dwellers to please pray for me as on April 15 I had a complete hysterectomy, gall bladder and appendix removal and hernia repair. It's going to be a difficult recovery, but I know with good strong, faithful Catholics like those here will help me along. Thank you all so much and don't forget to have more of these kinds of stories where real faith is put into action. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ! King of endless glory!

Keep an eye on St. Anne's and aall the good work of the FSSP. FSSP apostalates aret ruly blessings, just look at the good things happening at St. Stephen's in Sacramento. Sadly, many american bishops feel threatened by the FSSP because they feel the faithful will become "too conservative." Here in the diocese of Fresno, where we ave a shortage of priests, Bp. Steinbock was offered a priest from the FSSP to serve the diocese of Fresno, Steinbock of course turned down the offer of a validly ordained priest. Only about two years left for Steinbock before mandadory retirement forces him out of the diocese. Pray for the FSSP and pray for St. Anne's, watch the grace in action.

Dear Lana: I'm in. You are penciled in on my rosary for the next millennium or so. My God keep you in the palm of His hand.

God Bless St. Anne's!

To Lana~ Happy to pray for you! In addition, you might ask your doctor if you can wear a "binder", an old-fashioned type of girdle that's very easy to wear. It'll give your muscles the support they need while you heal.
