I noticed The South-Side Stooge kinda screw-up during his verbal diahrretic episode up at the Kremlin. Oops, I mean Kapitol Hill.
Here's the passage in question from RealClearPolitics.com;
"I have told each member of my Cabinet as well as mayors and governors across the country that they will be held accountable by me and the American people for every dollar they spend." OK, lemme get this straight. 54 state and territorial governors, as well as hundreds of mayors are now answerable to the president?
When did all those state and territorial constitutions, as well as all those city charters change, where their chief executive now became answerable to the president?

Playing devil's advocate, and that phrase is more than apt in this case more than ever... He was probably referring to a few mayors of our largest cities, such as New York City among others.

Keeping in mind that your playing the DA, I have to disagree with your supposition.
Here's why... If The South-Side Stooge meant just a few of the larger cities, he would have said that, instead of the rather large, sweeping statement he did make.
I am pretty sure he spoke out of ignorance--he probably doesn't know anything about state's rights and the war that was fought about that. Plus, once he was anointed messiah of the Americas, he was endowed with all-encompassing powers. At least, that is, until we vote the bum out of office (or impeach him for incompetence, which would be preferable).
How long, Oh Lord?
This guy is starting to believe he is the messiah. He also wants control of the counting in the census and has added several czar's to take oversight responsibility from the congress. Pride will be his downfall. If one is old enough to remember FDR, this also happened to him after his reelection in 36 when he went after the supreme court who ruled that his many programs did not meet the muster for constitutionality. FDR tried to pack the court with more justices and the country finally went bonkers. However, we should never assume that even when people are mad they won't return a guy to office if he is giving them free things as noted with FDR election for two more terms. FDR new deal and LBJ great society are the messiah's models as both produced democrat majorities for decades in congress. So we will need to have a full court press to get this crowd out if they keep handing out cheese to the crowds.
