Y'Know How To Impress The Average American?
Just shake something bright and shiny in front of 'em
With a small amount of disgust and a large amount of amusment, I read the latest news article concerning The Chosen One and the effects of Pixie Dust and bullshit on your run-of-the-mill American;Poll: Obama leadership rates high as Bush's after 9/11
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A national poll suggests that three-quarters of the public thinks President-elect Barack Obama is a strong and decisive leader, the highest marks for a president-elect on that characteristic in nearly three decades.
Seventy-six percent of Americans questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey released Wednesday said Obama is a strong and decisive leader.
Eight in ten Americans said Obama inspires confidence, can get things done and is tough enough to be president, three characteristics Americans look for in a leader and the three qualities on which Obama got his highest scores. Oh, I'm quite sure that Pravda on the Chatahoochee was more than objective in their little poll. Right.
But anyhow, I recall back in '99, Sports Illustrated did an article on the first NFL exhibition game played in Australia. Predictable, as both teams came out to their perspective sidelines, all the team members were jumping around, high fiving each other, slappin' each other on the ass, etc, etc, ad nauseum... and one of the Aussie reporters asked the SI guy "what are they doing!!?? The game hasn't even started yet... THEY HAVEN'T EVEN DONE ANYTHING!!"
All image. No substance.
But isn't that the job of a stooge?
Just shake something bright and shiny in front of 'em

Since when was clownbama the president?...Communist News Network, go figure.
Not sure how it is possible to have those results, since almost 50% of the country didn't want him as president. Do I smell something off?
SBM,
I smell it, too.
Leadership? Of WHAT?!? So far, all he's done is fleece everyone in sight and a few that are out of sight, and lied and cheated and stolen. If that counts as leadership, well, then I will now trust completely in the USCCB.
What a load of manure.
Two years in the Senate where he never authored any legislation, the inability to speak coherently with a teleprompter, the inability to answer a question directly without 27 "ahh's" and some PC BS, and that's what goes for leadership these days?
