No... He's Very Much Like Lincoln
What Lincoln and the Obamessiah have in common

Here's some of the article from Spero News; (Emphasis mine) Obama is no Lincoln
Unlike Obama, Lincoln knew that some principles are so fundamental they cannot be compromised -- not above his pay-grade

It's ironic that Barack Obama chooses to infuse these opening days of his presidency with the imagery of Abraham Lincoln. I don't think there could be two more different men. Understanding why may help us think about what to expect in the days ahead.

Lincoln knew that some principles are so fundamental they cannot be compromised. He knew that we couldn't ignore our key differences. Unity could only come from facing them and making the hard choices.

On the hardest moral dilemma of his day, Abraham Lincoln stepped up to the plate and took a stand. He did not say that it was above his pay grade. And this is what makes Abraham Lincoln very different from Barack Obama.
Madame Parker is clearly no Obamanic, and that always does my heart good. She does make some excellent points, but I also believe she failed to point out some of the similarities.

How many knew that Lincoln suspended the writ of habeus corpus? The crisis quickly took and turn for the worst and the President filled the Maryland's capital with federal troops and military authorities. They made several arrests including the Baltimore marshal of police George P. Kane, Baltimore Mayor William Brown, and, on September 17, nine members of the Maryland legislature and the chief clerk of the Maryland Senate. The members of the Maryland legislature were arrested for fear that, if allowed to attend the legislative session, they would vote for secession from the Union.Or did this; As early as May 4, 1861, the President enlarged the army by calling for volunteers without any congressional authorization. And don't forget, the Emancipation Proclamation didn't free one single Black slave or White bond-slave. Slavery and Indentured Servitude was still legal up North as well as in the Federalist controlled areas of the Confederacy. The only people "freed" were those in the areas the Union didn't control. But the Emancipation Proclamation did make for good press.

Anyhow, Lincoln isn't the mythological god that many paint him to be. Look for Obama to attempt to usurp the Constitution, as well. All in the name of Hope and Change. And Americans will lap it up as a cat does milk.

hmm, we should pray a lot about this. Yes things might get really really bad, but a person who prays is never abandoned.

Lincoln will always get the lions share of the credit for freeing the slaves. With this being the case, what kills me is why any pro-abortion politician would wants to parallel themselves with Lincoln. Pro-abortion rethoric on what defines personage so closely resembles the arguements that supported slavery, that all the nuance in the world can't keep the pro death crowd from exposing themselves for what they really are.

And how about the other great cover-up regarding Lincoln the BO wouldn't touch: that ol' Abe wanted to send the blacks back to Africa?

"While it is true that Lincoln regarded slavery as an evil and harmful institution, it also true, as this paper will show, that he shared the conviction of most Americans of his time, and of many prominent statesmen before and after him, that blacks could not be assimilated into white society. He rejected the notion of social equality of the races, and held to the view that blacks should be resettled abroad. As President, he supported projects to remove blacks from the United States."

Libertarians typically have far less reverence than others for the "Great Hero" presidents, Lincoln, Wilson, and FDR. We know them for the statists they all were. All expanded the federal government in ways that would have been considered grotesque 16 years before they were elected.
