Democrats for Life!
If you believe that one I have some ocean front property in Oklahoma for you!

I was certainly blessed this past Saturday to have been able to hang out with some very special people at the NC March for Life this past weekend. It was incredibly cold and still had a very good showing. It was funny that we had all these people and yet several "pro-life" politicians in NC could not be bothered to show. We had one and the rest sent letters, oh sure NC Right to Life will tell you they understand and that sometimes dignitaries just can't make it. Pardon me dignitaries but you can piss off! Really you have something more important to do, what was that? Ask donors for more money to fight for "pro-life" issues. I'm sure! You are nothing but users and abusers who do not do squat but run your mouth and pay lip service for dollars. I have no use for you maybe you can go and visit the "Maneuvers" inaugural party apparently they have a lot of people that need to be screwed...and you guys are ssooooo good at it!
Meanwhile while you were all snug and warm in your blue blood county club, the Democrats sent their operatives "Democrats for Life" to our march to recruit people and get donations. I saw these people set up near where we were staging. I could not resist the temptation to "discuss" their position. It was a woman and a man in their late 40's to early 50's I thought maybe husband and wife, but of course I was wrong. My opening salvo was, "I am curious how you can have a poster that says Democrats for Life when your party is the very essence of death?" Of course they were thrown aback by my daring to question them. Their response was the tried and true, "We are Democrats but we do not agree with their position on the protection of life, but on everything else we agree," they continued, "therefore we are more in line with the Democrats." This set me up perfectly to ask then, "So how will you feel when your party makes FOCA the law of the land knowing that you gave them to power to do so?" Here is where the denial that we all know exists reared its ugly head, "Sir, that is just crazy we all know (referring to Democrats for Life) that it will never happen it is just crazy and to far fetched, just scare tactics by the right wingers."
What do you say after that? They are clearly suffering from oxygen deprivation. We got into discussions about the many positions of the Democratic Party that counters pro-life beliefs as in the homosexual lifestyle, promotion of sexual education in public schools, promotion of single mothers, and the beat goes on.... None of this made any sense to our intrepid vagabonds. To them the most important thing was to make sure people knew that the Democratic Party had pro-lifer's in it. The funny thing was that the woman engaged me and very well she was willing to argue and make a stand. The man on the other hand cowered from a distance busying himself with other stuff trying to avoid any conflict. Just for giggles I wanted to go over and get about six inches from his nose and say, "Are you eyeballin' me boy!" Yet the good angel on my shoulder won that battle.
So the point I want to make here is that so called "pro-life" Republicans are unwilling to make their presence known, yet Democrats send subversion agents in to steal hearts and minds. Is it any wonder why they are winning the battle at the moment. We need REAL pro-life politicians in office, and we need them now! My other point was to say that all you "Democrats for Life" will have the blood of innocents on your hands, and you will not be able to wash it off!

My wife was at the rally with a few of the kids. She saw their set-up and it struck her how they were the most miserable looking people there. you must have really rained on their parade!
"Democrats For Life". Isn't that kinda like "Sluts For Chastity"?
I would be inclined to take your points more seriously if they included respectful content and tone regarding other people. I am somewhat perplexed by your hostility. Someone who might claim some affiliation with Democrats for Life may have done so due to strong opinions on issues concerning war and warmongering, torture, poverty, immigration, personal freedom, education, the death penalty, social justice, pro-corporate policies, as well as abortion. A respectful, intellectual discussion would acknowledge that there is at least room for debate regarding conducting policies in a way that is in line with Church teaching on these (and other) issues.
