Most of France's tanks, helicopters and jet fighters are unusable and its defence apparatus is on the verge of "falling apart", it has emerged.
According to confidential defence documents leaked to the French press, less than half of France's Leclerc tanks – 142 out of 346 – are operational and even these regularly break down.
Less than half of its Puma helicopters, 37 per cent of its Lynx choppers and 33 per cent of its Super Frelon models – built 40 years ago – are in a fit state to fly, according to documents seen by Le Parisien newspaper.
Two thirds of France's Mirage F1 reconnaissance jets are unusable at present. But considering that the French can't even get the basics right, is it any wonder their equipment is crap? If you don't believe me, check out this training film from the French MOD (Ministry of Defence).

In the immortal words of Bart Simpson...
"Cheese eating surrender monkeys!"
They've been too busy overtaxing their ever-shrinking percentage of working people to help finance the unchecked influx of unemployed peace-loving Islamists to bother with their military.
Their "poulets" will come home to roost, bien sur. I just hope it's not a high priority on our list to help liberate them - AGAIN.
All I know first hand about the French military is this.
In the mid 80's we shared an OP with the French Marines at Grafenwoehr MTA in Germany. They buried their FAMAS assault rifles, (pretty nifty gun, actually) so they could sneak off and get drunk. They came back late that night, very drunk. The next day they were short 1 assault rifle.
Somewhere, there's a Bavarian landser, who's ready for the Islamic Jihad.
