A Few Observations On The War In Iraq
You know... the war the liberals keep saying we're losing

As I've read some of the latest news from the war front, a few pretty obvious (and easily verifiable) facts are jumping out at me, and for the life of me I can't understand why the MSM isn't picking up on this. Example;

1. US casualties, and subsequent Al-Qaeda attacks, have dropped to a 2-year low.
2. Al-Qaeda attacks on civilians are at their lowest level since the surge began.
3. Cities and towns that were once deemed all but lost to Al-Qaeda forever, are now freed of the terrorists.
4. Entire sections of the country have been turned over to the Iraqis, such as the British and Polish divisions withdrawing from the entire south of Iraq.
5. Tribal chieftains who were once against us, are now allied with us against the terrorists.
6. Al-Qaeda has lost what little popular support they had, and local citizenry is aiding Allied Forces in the fight against Al-Qaeda.

In other words... we're winning.

But shhhhh.... don't tell the liberals. That would ruin their entire Blame America First strategy.

Between Hilliaries 8 years of white house experience, and the fact she's putting up a spirited campaign against G. W. Bush--why should be spoil it all with reality.

The media is a big part of the anti-American bias. But, such bias will get even worse if one of the people in the following photo get into office as president:

The thing that keeps jumping out at me whenever I check-out the MNF-Iraq website for news is a brand-new acronym: CLC. That stands for Concerned Local Citizen.

Thanks to the "surge" allowing Coalition Forces to be stationed amongst the civilian population, goodwill and trust has developed between CF and the Iraqis. Now we have CLCs (i.e. the Iraqi people) working with Iraqi and Coalition Forces to get their neighborhoods and towns back. The Iraqi Security Forces are able to handle the security with little to no CF assistance as violence drops in neighborhoods and regions, and this frees up CF to move to other areas with greater need.

The Iraqis are taking responsibility for their future, and the ISF are able to take over greater security duties. COIN is working, but that doesn't seem to fit the narrative we've been hearing, and that is why I think that the MSM is not picking up on this. It isn't that they can't see it, in my opinion, it's that they don't want to see it.
