WHY Are Idiots Like This Still In "Good Standing" in The Church!!??
Where's Torquemada when ya need him?
But then again... you can't Torquemada anything! OK, enough of the History of the World, Part I references. I'm checking out my daily news sources, and I come across this lil' gem --
“Systems that disempower the laity”
Nun to speak in Palo Alto on how to resist “patriarchal approaches to church leadership”
Burlingame Mercy Sister Eloise Rosenblatt, who gave a keynote address for the Northern California Lay Convocation at St. Francisco’s St. Mary’s Cathedral in June, (in the cathedral, proper... 'eh? Nothing that happens in the Archheresy of San Francisco surprises me any more) will speak on “Countering and Challenging Patriarchy in the Church” on Oct. 27 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church Hall in Palo Alto.
The event, sponsored by the Thomas Merton Center (how fitting to be named after this heretic) in Palo Alto, was advertised in the Oct. 16 Valley Catholic, the newspaper of the San Jose diocese.
According to the Oct. 14 Thomas Merton Center bulletin, Sister Eloise will address the question: “How do progressive Catholics ("progressive Catholics" is "Protestant" spelled sideways), who wish to stay members of the Roman church, change the entrenched patriarchal church systems that disempower the laity in general, and women in particular?” Sister “will take a broad analytical approach and recognize how subordination works culturally and doctrinally,” said the bulletin. “She proposes long-term strategies for resisting and reforming patriarchal approaches to church leadership, by invoking the church’s own teaching.” (In other words; how to turn Creeping Protestantism into Raging Protestantism.)
Sister Eloise, both a feminist theologian (AKA: lesbian pagan) and a doctor of law, directs ELOROS Inc. (Education, Law, and Religious Organizations), which, says the bulletin, is “a non-profit organization that provides parish inservice education about employment issues and California’s mandatory antidiscrimination training.”
In the past, Sister Eloise has addressed other “progressive” gatherings. She offered workshops at the 1998 and 2005 Call to Action West Coast Conferences on the topics, “Keeping your church job,” church law, and clergy sexual exploitation of adult women. Call to Action is a group that promotes public dissent against Church teaching on women’s ordination, homosexuality, birth control, and other matters. (That says it all)
In 1997, Sister Eloise was a workshop presenter at the Catholic Women Network’s Annual Conference, where attendees learned about eastern spiritualities, “Goddess qualities,” mandalas, and “Holistic/Ecofeminist Spirituality.” (That says it all, part II)

How can people like this be in the Church? We kick them out like Sarge kicks them off the blog.
I think I know a bishop who could profit from a session with a Sergeant Major of my aquitance. The SGM had a plaque on one wall that read--"Popularity is not the measure of Leadership", He had a plaque on the other wall saying"Forget your happiness: Do your duty". And, over his desk, a poster that read: " I happen to be something of a bullshitter myself, but sometimes I enjoy listening to an expert, lease, continue."
That's a nice way of saying that the Ordinary of SF is a weasily little coward who's afraid of tranvestites, nuns and public opinion. What a disappointing successor to the First Bishops, whom met martyrs death, exile and popular opprobrium with integrity, truth and persavereance.
Cowar, thy name is Neideraurer!

I came across this story today on another blog, so I have the misfortune of being sickened twice in one day.
Let me make a long story short. I have written this on your blog before, and I will write it again: If you have a problem with the rules that are currently in effect inside the Catholic Church, please submit your adherence to the Anglicans or to the Presbyterians or United Church of Christ or that church Sinead O’Connor - the ultimate singing freak - was ordained as Mother Bernadette Mary.
What is equally disturbing is that Sister Dingy received permission to “philosophize” inside Catholic Churches and institutions from people who should be protecting the faith!!
I’m telling you, those schismatic cards would really come in handy (see the comments I left on your Oct. 10th post).
Tom
Reminds me of the parable about the wheat field sown with weeds by the enemy of the owner. The owner of the field told his hands to wait till harvest time before getting rid of the weeds, lest good grain be inadvertently plucked up.
So to answer your question, idiots like these are allowed to remain in the Church because their comeuppance is left to the harvest time of souls. Till then there's always the hope of conversion.
And for the record, assholes like these set my teeth on edge also!
Maybe the Jewish masons planted where she is now in retaliation for the canonization of Edith Stein.
