Proof That Being A Liberal Makes You Stupid
And yes, RINO's are liberals

And the king of all RINO's, Rudy Giuliani said Friday that being an illegal immigrant isn't a crime, and it shouldn't be one in the future either -- comments likely to anger conservatives already leery about his liberal immigration policies as New York mayor.

"It's not a crime. I know that's very hard for people to understand, but it's not a federal crime," he said. And, he continued, President Giuliani wouldn't try to make it one either.

Hey doofus, violating the federal immigration laws is considered a... what do they call that again? Oh yeah... a crime.

Sheesh, even those in favor of amnesty admit that illegal aliens have broken the law. But at least those folks want to change the laws correctly. Even though I disagree with them, I can respect the way many of them are going about it.

But hey, when it comes to Rudy the RINO, what would you expect from someone who calls himself Catholic, but is in favor of butchering children, and legitimizing sodomite "marriages"?

Oh, and "President Giuliani won't make it a crime, either"? What planet is this guy on? I don't know if he's running for president or emperor. Folks, Rudy Giuliani isn't merely out of touch with reality... he actually believes his drivel. And that makes him a truly dangerous man.

Webster's defines Illegal as :A sick bird! :)

Seriously, here is what it says (note esp what it uses to define the word as a noun): adj. prohibited by law; --- n. an alien who has entered the U.S. illegally

crime - n 1. an act in violation of an law prohibiting it.

criminal - n a person guilty of a crime.

Let's see now, using the logic I learned in my philosophy classes at the Catholic college I attended: If a=b & a=c then b=c with

a = illegal

b = an alien who has entered the U.S. illegally

c = crime

d = criminal

If b = c if c makes you d then b also makes you d.

OK Rudy what part of this don't you get?

These are subtle distinctions, which as Catholics we should be used to. :)

My understanding is that deportation is technically a "civil" proceeding. That's why there is no trial, no jail time or fines assessed, beyond simply being held until they can be deported.

Someone who has been deported once and then returns to the U.S. without permission HAS committed a crime and can be tried and punished.

So Giuliani may be technically right about the law as it stands now. But he's still a RINO.

Patrick,
I don't think that "deportation" is really the question here. As Hizzonner so eloquently stated; "being an illegal immigrant isn't a crime".

I think Al summed it up nicely.

This is similiar to what archbishop Chaput said. That America is trying to criminalize entire undocumented families.

I said they criminalized themselves when they willfully and with full knowledge chose to break the law.

It's sad people are resorting to this kind of doublespeak and it's even sadder Chaput is engaging in it as well.

Just ANOTHER reason (besides his pro-abortion position) to be against Giuliani. But then he is the product of a Jesuit education.

Unitas,
Amen. Parents' choices, good and bad, always affect their kids. A similar example: when police bust drug-using parents, the state comes in and removes the children, sometimes to the point of having their parental rights taken away judically and putting the kids up for adoption. At least the illegal kids are able to accompany madre and padre back to Mexico, etc.

And that's the real tragedy behind it. That these kids are just following their parents' lead like all children do.

Many end up dead in the middle of the desert or dead hidden in some obscure place in a car. (Like a wheel-well)

Their deaths are on their parents heads. If they didn't decide to break the law, those deaths wouldn't have happened.
