The Saudi Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice has issued a fatwa against the letter X. That's right... the letter X.
Turns out that X looks waaaaay, waaaay too much like that most hated of all symbols, the Crucifix.
This reminds me of when I was in the Gulf War, Part I. The Saudis demanded we change the Red Cross symbol on our field ambulances to a moslem crescent and star (we told them to go to hell), then they demanded we officially designate our chaplains as "Morale Officers" (we told them to go to hell), and then they demanded we take down our Christmas Tree outside our Command Post (we definitely told them to go to hell).
But back to this idiot Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice;
One of the most criminal travesties committed by the commission's foot soldiers, the Mutawaeen, or religious police, was dramatically reported by the muzzled Saudi press itself on Friday, March 15, 2002, when the Mutawaeen forcibly prevented girls fleeing a burning school from leaving the building because they were "improperly dressed."
The day after, the Saudi Gazette newspaper quoted witnesses as saying the police stopped men who tried to help the girls, warning the men: "It is sinful to approach them". Of the 800 teenage pupils in Mecca, 15 burned to death and more than 50 were injured. Yet, the commission and its royal enablers thrive.
Should I even bring up how in 1974 they officially declated that the earth was flat? These idiots make Jimmy Swaggart look like a genius.

I think of the Wahhabi sect, the Saudi brand of Islam, as a kind of “Shiites Gone Wild.” The “Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice” aka Church Police (also once a creature of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan) is disordered and needs to go.
But before disbanding, perhaps we could encourage the Saudi’s to temporarily assign them to Pelosi’s 8th district of California which falls entirely within and includes most of the city and county of San Francisco. No, on second thought that would be too cruel to the Church Police.

I posted a picture of the Blessed Virgin on my blog, and someone asked why I posted a picture of a Muslim woman there. So that doesn't surprise me, Anita.
However, this constant attack on Christianity is discomforting. Seems the Muslims have more in common with the ACLU every day.
Bishop Sheen thought that Our Lady of Fatima would eventually be the one to bring about the conversion of the Muslims. (Connection to Mohammed's daughter Fatima--it's already a "sacred" name to the Muslims).
In the "old" days we used to prayer after Low Mass for the conversion of Russia (I guess that was dropped as another "improvement" of Vat2), but maybe a prayer for the conversion of the infidels in is order.
I remember being taught that if every Catholic prayed the Rosary every day, she would obtain the conversion of Russia. I found, however, that that wasn't a politically correct thing to try to spread, even in a Catholic school, during the days when detente was at a rolling boil.
I want Muslims converted, for the same reasons I want everybody to convert: I want them to have the Christian faith that I have been given, for which there is no substitute. But jihad, about which we don't seem to pray nearly enough, lends a special urgency to this desire. I have decided, when I pray the Glorious Mysteries, that my primary intention will be to pray about our deadly struggle, like so:
1st Glorious Mystery: Mother, obtain for us the grace of the total and utter defeat of jihad, from your Divine Son who conquered death itself.
2nd: Mother, obtain for us that God will raise up courageous, upright and wise leaders for us in this time of mortal peril, from your Divine Son Who sits at the Father's right hand.
3d: Mother, obtain for all Muslims, especially the most hardened, the grace of conversion, from your Divine Son who inundated the Church with the Holy Spirit.
4th: Mother obtain for us and those we love, and those who die fighting for freedom, a happy death with the sacraments, from your Divine Son who preserved you from the corruption of sin and death.
5th: Mother, obtain for us the victory of your Immaculate Heart, from your Divine Son Who has given us such a Queen and Mother.

it has next-to-nothing to do with Mohammed the Murderers daughter, rather, it is because of a muslim princess named Fatima in Portugal who converted.
Our Lady is on a *horned* moon for various reasons, e.g. her foot is on the various cults of the moon goddesses as they have appeared OUTSIDE of Arabia, and, of course, Allah himself is nothing more than a pre-mohammed / pre Koranic moon god peculiar to the semitic tribes of Arabia especially his own tribe the Quraysh. That is to say, whereas the moon is usuually seen as "female", to the arabs "he" (Allah the moon) was male (and the sun, female...they married and had three astral daghters, go figure). What do you think they are doing during the Haj? Bending the knee to a real live idol set up in the Kabaa...the "black stone" is an ancient stone idol of the moon god Allah from the Quraysh tribe...my own suspicion that it was a idol from Mohammed's own family, his father was called Abd-Allah, his uncle Obied-Allah...talk about family devotion.
