Time Travel Meme
Tagged by my goomba, Carlton at Upper Canada Catholic

This one was actually a difficult one for me. I tag anyone and everyone who would like to take it. It's not as easy as it seems!

If an angel could take me back in time, what five things or occasions would I like to experience?

1. The Battle of Pearl Harbor, December 7th, 1941.

2. Fall of Guam, December 10, 1941. To include seeing the Concentration Camp that my mother and her family were held in during WWII.

3. To meet my cousin, Father Jesus Duenas, who was murdered by the Japanese for not betraying American sailors who were hiding in the jungle.

4. November 1, 1979. The day I met my wife.

5. Witness Mt. 16: 16-19

Only three for me:

1. The Passion of Christ (the real thing, not the movie)

2. The "High Watermark of the Confederacy" at Gettysburg.

3. Where I put my car keys.

I would want to go back in time for the Passion of Christ:
1. Agony in the Garden
2. Scourging at the Pillar (that one would be the hardest for me to witness)
3. Crowning With Thorns
4. Carrying of the Cross
5. The Crucifixion

Maybe I might be a better person and appreciate it more if I witnessed it in person. I feel quite ashamed of that.

1. The Upper Room one week after Easter. What does a resurrected person look like? Did Jesus just appear or did he walk through the wall like a Hollywood ghost? What did Mary and all the Apostles look like? And where did Thomas go that he missed the first visit? (I have a theory but will have to wait for heaven to see if I’m right.)

2. The Lakota/Cheyenne/Arapaho camp on the Little Big Horn River, the morning of June 25, 1876. The whole week before that would be neat, too.

3. One year (say, 1777) in the Hawaiian Islands before the arrival of the Cook and the people who came after him.

4. Ancient Egypt to watch the building of the Great Pyramid.

5. Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and surrounds, June 1-3, 1863.
