White Catholics will decide the upcoming US elections, according to William Galston, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and former domestic policy adviser to President Clinton.
Oh, now that's just great. Most "White Catholics" don't even go to Mass. Most "White Catholics" don't believe in The Real Presence. Most "White Catholics" don't even know that there was 2,000 years of Catholicism before the great and wonderful changes brought on by Vatican II.
Most "White Catholics" have no problem with divorce or womyn priestesses. Most "White Catholics" see no problem whatsoever with effeminate little fairies for priests. Most "White Catholics" agree with butchering unborn children "under certain circumstances".
With stellar examples of leadership from the likes of Law, Mahoney, Weakland, Gossman, etc, etc, ad nauseum, the Democrats are ensured of victory.

As a Catholic who is also a White man (and by "White", I am going to assume the authour means of exclusively European, Caucasian ancestry), I agree with the generalisation that (sadly), most of us dont seem to really know our Faith much less practice it. The situation is scandalous and deplorable.
Still, that can be said for the majority of Catholics -- White and non-White, alike. We have entered a crisis of Faith that was only formalised at the Second Vatican Council. The attack began with the Crucifixion; continued through the Eastern Schism, the Protestant Heresy, the advent of Freemasonry and Communism; and is still going on today.
However, while there plenty of White Catholic bishops in the Novus Ordo hierarchy -- unless I'm missing something -- all the bishops of the SSPX (in my opinion, the most well-organised and doctrinally consistent traditional Catholic group) are White, European Catholics: an Englishman, a Frenchman, a Swiss, and a Spaniard.
I point this out not to be divisive or insulting, but to simply state that -- while it does appear as if White men have strong representation at both ends of the Catholic "spectrum", if you will -- not all White Catholics fall under the generalisations made in your post; and, indeed, the strongest leadership among traditional Catholics appears to be composed of White men of European ancestry.
Have any non-White bishops stepped up to the plate? You seem to know a good bit about Latin America, Africa, and the Orient. Who else is "leading the charge"?

The vast majority of Catholics in this nation are White of European anscestory.
The majority of them wouldn't know anything aythentically Catholic if it bit 'em on the ass.
