The United States of North America?
I remember reading some many months back (I can't remember where) that the future threat to the United States would be a political, economic and military alliance consisting of Communist China, India, Indonesia and Brazil.
The paper stated that the big master plan for America was to unite with Canada and Mexico. I don't mean some silly NAFTA-esque version of "unite"... I mean UNITE... as in one big country.
Then today I bump into an excellent article concerning the very same thing. Well worth the read. The author wrote of some monstrosity back in 2005 that President Bush, Canadian PM Paul Martin and Mexican President Vicente Fox established called the “Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America.”
"The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America"... sounds official, huh? It's SO official, it has it's own government website. Security and Prosperity Partnership Of North America.
Well, if this thing is going to happen in the next few decades, I have just one question... do we have the good manners to invite the Ozzies and Brits? We'll need 'em. And besides... they've proved time and again to be loyal allies and friends.

Hey, if they want to apply for American statehood, I'm happy to consider it. But I'm not willing to give up the U.S. Constitution for whatever they have in those other countries.
And they need to plan to give up both Spanish and French, as well as whatever other languages they're using.

Hats off to our Afghan boys though!
I say that we invite the Brits, the Aussies, the Kiwis, and what is left of the Afrikaaners to a new Anglo-American Commonwealth... AFTER the Royal Family coverts to Catholicism.
So... I guess that's a long way off?
