The fight to place an amendment to the constitution to protect the sanctity of marriage was killed today all but three Democrat senators. That wasn't surprising. But the likes of Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island, Ben Nighthorse Campbell of Colorado, Susan Collins of Maine, John McCain of Arizona, Olympia Snowe of Maine and John Sununu of New Hampshire... Republicans all... joined in with the overwhelming number of Democrats to further the homosexual agenda.

And don't believe that crap about Bush being oh, so in favor of this passing. Hell, he knew it was going to fail. His actions speak louder than his words.

But I will give credit where credit's due. The three Democrats voting to advance the measure were Robert Byrd of West Virginia, Zell Miller of Georgia and Ben Nelson of Nebraska.

Overall, this is a sad day for America.
