WARNING! The end of this posting is just so damn weird and sick, it deserves it's own warning. No foul language or anything, it's just... very, very 'bizarre' shall we say?
Interesting goings on at the Pediatric Academic Societies recent gathering and intellectual gang-bang in San Francisco (big shocker, huh?).
Keep in mind, the folks who spoke there are real life pediatricians, and are looked upon highly by many in the Medical and Social Work fields. They highlighted the American Academy of Pediatrics' support of "non-discriminating gender-neutral civil marriage," as well as the Academy's opposition to the Federal Marriage Amendment, which was described by one prominent doctor as as a "nuclear bomb" for gay and lesbian families.
In one of the more disturbing episodes of the annual meeting was when one of the presenters, Arlene Istar Lev, LCSW, CASAC, identified herself as a "lesbian currently in a same-sex, opposite-gender relationship", whatever the hell that is.
Lev emphasized that there are many ways to be boy or a girl. She noted that there are boy-girls and girl-boys. Young men can even put aside "sperm in sperm banks and when they become mothers, can use their sperm to have children."
Ewwww......
And the scarey thing? People in positions of power will take this whack-job seriously.
