Remember When Sisters Stood Out From the World
Before Most Orders Abandoned the Habit

If you were lucky enough, like me, to have been taught by religious Sisters or are at least old enough to remember what religious Sisters were, you will recall that each order wore a unique religious habit. The habit was not only the “uniform” that added to their sense of community, it was also a marked symbol of how they were “in the world but not of the world.”

Well, there is a church supply company called Blessings that sells dolls in over 100 different religious habits. The bad news is they are going out of business. So, if you’d like to see what they have to offer, or maybe even copy and save the picture of the religious order nearest and dearest to your heart, or better yet, buy a "nun" doll, you only have a short while to do so.
