...But Some Animals Are More Equal Than Others
Animal Farm revisited
Interesting little tid-bit I found while perusing my diocesan website. Gee, the ghost of George Orwell works there?
African Ancestry Ministry
Helen D. Cox College Scholarship Fund
Through the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh and the Office of African Ancestry Ministry & Evangelization, the Helen D. Cox Scholarship Fund has been made available to youth who are Catholic and non-Catholic to help with college educational financial needs. This is a one-time scholarship in the amount of $500.00. There will be only two scholarships awarded each year.
So I guess you really don't have to be Catholic to be awarded this "Catholic" scholarship? I would imagine then if a non-Catholic should be awarded such, that means that every Catholic kid in the diocese is just hunky-dory financially, right? Surely a non-Catholic wouldn't receive this if a Catholic kid is in need.... right?
I also couldn't help but notice on the requirements section, this bit of political correctness;
"...including past, present and future contributions made toward your community and church involvement."
Huh... what? Community comes first... and THEN comes church? Man before God? Just possibly they put the cart before the horse, or they just blew off what Jesus said about those who embrace "the world"? Looks like quite a bit of embracing the world at the Catholic (?) Diocese of Raleigh.

Kevin, mein Freund, what do you expect from the conciliar Church? They have all but apostacised from the Faith. If they wished to insist upon God *before* man -- as they should -- they would get rid of the "table", restore the _altar_, and tell the priests to turn around and _lead_ their parishes towards *God* and NOT engage in God-damned, neo-Protestant, feel-good hootenannies!
