You guessed it... another Catholic church (this time the Cathedral of St Paul in St. Paul, Minnesota) is being used to celebrate the Sin of Sodom.

Dignity Twin Cities invites you to join us as we celebrate Solidarity Sunday on October 8, 2006, at the noon Mass at the Cathedral of St. Paul. Celebrated on the Sunday before National Coming Out Day, the themes of Solidarity Sunday are building solidarity with our friends who are not part of the glbt community, and working to end violence, including spiritual violence, against glbt people. As part of our celebration at the Cathedral of St. Paul this year, we will be handing out small ribbons to pin on, and small prayer cards explaining a little bit about Solidarity Sunday. Please plan on joining this wonderful celebration.

I can't help but wonder why exactly they mean by "spiritual violence"? Do they mean refusal of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony, as well as reception of Holy Communion for those who are obstinate in their vile and disgusting sinfulness? I'll bet they do.

And I just know that some do-gooder Liberal is going to get his/her/it's panties in a wad because I have the bad manners to refer to being a Butt-Pirate as 'sinful'. So before I go any further, just lemme say that acting upon such disgusting impulses is what The Church categorizes as sinful.

Those who have this inclination are called to live a celibate life, much like someone who has the inclination to beat the crap out of stupid people isn't suppose to act upon .... regardless of the amout of stupid people within my (oops, I should say) this person's grid square, or even how badly they really do need the crap beaten out of them.

But I digress, I do believe that 2357 of the catechism defines [the Rump-Ranger acts themselves as] acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

With all that said, I wonder if those Tailgate Lancers & Lispy Prancers in Roman Collars honchoing this lil' shindig up in Minnesota are actually calling for those with homosexual inclinations to live a celibate lifestyle for the remainder of their natural lives. Anyone care to lay a bet... anyone, anyone?

And as Former Altar Boy once exclaimed... "and the faithful wonder why the silence from Rome."

Face it folks, the alleged Catholics running the Diocese of St. Paul-Minneapolis are officially sanctioning sin. I just hope no one breaks wind during their sacrilegious "Mass". I hear homos consider the aroma to be an aphrodisiac.
