Too late. Mahony's replacement has already been named
Amazing article from The Catholic News Agency;

Guam archbishop urges faithful to vote with Catholic conscience

Hagatna, Guam (CNA).- Writing to Catholics before Guam's upcoming primary elections, Archbishop Anthony Apuron stressed to the country's faithful that “a well-formed Christian conscience does not permit one to vote for a political program or an individual law that contradicts the fundamental contents of faith and morals.”

Archbishop Apuron of the Archdiocese of of Agana issued his statement on Aug. 27 in time for Guam's primary elections, which will be held on Sept. 4.

“We are called to participate in the upcoming elections of our local leaders for the positions of Governor and Lt. Governor, Senator, Attorney General, and Delegate to the U.S. House of Representative,” the prelate explained. “As we exercise our civic duties, we are faced with issues that affect the common good of the People of Guam.”

More 'Fruits of Vatican II"
Vocations plummet in Ireland

Vocations on the Emerald Isle are dropping like a stone. A total of sixteen are entering the seminary in Ireland this year, which is down from 39 last year. During the 1980s, the national average was slightly over 150 per year. Ireland currently has 99 seminarians, while England and Wales have 150.

According to Father Patrick Rushe, national coordinator for diocesan vocation directors, "The recent difficulties with Church scandals mean that those thinking tentatively about priesthood... are not going to be launching themselves forward."

Just a few generations ago, Ireland was known as the very cradle of the Catholic priesthood in the Western world.

Entry into Irish seminaries and convents have been evaporating since the 'improvements' brought about ever since the secular-friendly Second Vatican Council of the 1960s.

Moslems discovered America - US school textbook, funded by Saudis

Did you know that moslems beat Christopher Columbus to America? Or that certain American Indian chiefs took Arab names?

Or that Christianity was founded by "a young Palestinian named Jesus"?

Catholic Relief Services forgot about Nashville

In a posting on the official website of the Diocese of Raleigh, Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is requesting donations to assist victims of the recent floods in Pakistan.

CRS failed to raise funds for the victims by the recent floods that struck Tennessee, Mississippi and Kentucky.

31 people died in the affected states, and the damage to private property alone in Nashville is expected to top $2 billion.

Shameful.

Fr. Finigan states that the US government has reportedly offered a $25 million bounty for Osama Bin Laden. Al Qaeda has offered a $60 million bounty for Fr. Boutros.

Democrats discover the Constitution

North Carolina Freshperson-of-undetermined-gender Senator Kay Hagan (and a gaggle of other Dems) have stated that the government should follow the constitution in regards to a mosque being constructed at Ground Zero in lower Manhattan.

Hagan and the rest of her ilk have been conspicuously silent on Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's recent intimidation of those who have exercised their First Amendment Right of Free Speech when a number of American citizens spoke out against the proposed mosque.

Pelosi calls for investigating those in "opposition to the mosque" at Ground Zero

In an op/ed piece by Penny Young Nance of FoxNews.com, she reports that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is calling for an investigation into those who oppose a mosque to be built at Ground Zero.

As Nance puts it, "For Ms. Pelosi it seems there is nothing the government shouldn't investigate, control or inject itself into as long as it serves the interests of liberal elites."

Never mind that the overwhelming majority of 9/11 victim families opposes building the mosque so close to such hallowed ground. Ms. Pelosi evidently believes these families have formed some kind of vast right wing conspiracy to inflict sensitivity upon those who would kow-tow to a controversial Muslim cleric.

"There is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some," Ms. Pelosi said in comments captured by Kerry Picket of the Washington Times' Water Cooler blog. "And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque is being funded."

Certain Cowardly French priests and bishops

The Catholic news site AsiaNews.it is reporting that there have been cases of French priests and bishops who have "impeded" baptisms of former-moslems to Catholicism due to fear of possible reprisals from moslems.

It has been reported that a group of Catholic and soon-to-be Catholics from France, Morocco and Algeria are planning on making a pilgrimage in the steps of the North African born St. Augustine when he traveled throughout Italy.

One of the specific intentions of the pilgrimage is that "Muslims who have heard the call of the Lord Jesus should not be prohibited from entering the Church."

AsiaNews.it has stated that "The idea refers to some episodes that have occurred in France and Algeria, where many Muslims who wanted to be baptized, have been impeded by priests and bishops, fearful of the consequences and overly precautious."

Adios,Latino Catholics!

It's Moved!!

Joe over at Defend Us In Battle has some great news. The sham 'consecrations' that I just posted about, have been moved from Our Lady of Guadeloupe Catholic Church, to someplace else that heretics hang out.

Personally, I'm still curious as to why a Catholic parish was chosen for this fraud to begin with.

Protestants to use allegedly Catholic parish for mock ordination

According to an Episcopalian website, the so-called Episcopal Diocese of Alaska will ordain Andrew Lattime on Sept. 4 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Anchorage.

Apparently, there are no Episcopalian facilities available in all of Alaska for this challenge to Catholicism.

Lattime will bear the title of "Bishop of Alaska", and that will be bestowed upon him by the pro-abortion, pro-homosexual Katharine Jefferts Schori. Schori is the so-called "presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church."

Ioannes Finds A Rather.... "Interesting" Picture

Ioannes over at Commentarius de Prognosticis has uncovered a rather interesting photograph that may answer as to why St. Brendan's in Shallotte, NC is allowing the Mexican Consulate in Raleigh to use Church grounds to hand out official Mexican governmental documents to Mexican Nationals in North Carolina... both legal and illegal.

From his blog;
Mexican Consular General with Bishop Burbidge
Folks,

The web site of the Mexican Consulate in Raleigh announced the distribution of passports and Matricula Consulars at St. Brendan's Catholic Parish in Shallotte, NC on its front web page (the reader will have to scroll down the page a little to see the announcement):

Consulado General de Mexico en Raleigh

A little further down from that is the following photograph of Cónsul General Flores-Vizcarra with "reverendo Michael F. Burbidge, obispo católico de la Diócesis de Raleigh".
Mexican Consulate to issue official documents in rural NC

Both the Mexican Consulate in Raleigh, NC and St. Brendan's Catholic Parish in Shallotte, NC have announced that Mexican officials will be at St. Brendan's this Saturday, 14 Aug, 2010 to issue Mexican Passports and Matrícula Consular I.D. Cards.

In a telephone interview with the pastor of St. Brendan's, Fr. Robert Ippolito, he did verify that his parish would be "hosting" the event this Saturday.

Ippolito likened the visit to an American Consulate in Mexico issuing documentation to Americans in Mexico.

The Question Of Matrícula Consular I.D. Cards

When asked if the Matrícula Consular I.D. Cards would assist those in this country illegally in obtaining a driver's license he stated "How couldn help them in getting a driver's license? You have to have a Social Security Number first."

According to the current North Carolina Dept. of Transportation website, a Matrícula Consular Card is one of the acceptable forms of documentation to receive a NC State Driver's License.

Also, according to the current North Carolina State Board of Elections website, once any given individual has been issued a valid driver's license, that very same license can be used as an acceptable form of identification to register to vote at a One-Stop Absentee Site.

The hypocrisy of Lindsey Graham

It's being reported by the Cybercast News Service that South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham is claiming the reason he voted in favor of fanatically pro-abortion Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan, is due to something said by Jesus Christ.

According to the report, "Jesus's Golden Rule inspired him to vote to confirm Elena Kagan to the U.S. Supreme Court and suggested it would be a good thing for his Senate colleagues to also ponder Jesus's words as they prepared to vote on Kagan."

According to the Douay-Rheims Bible, what is the popularly known as 'The Golden Rule' is Mt 7:12 "All things therefore whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do you also to them."

Kagan was the Clinton Administration's architect of the legal and political strategy that led to Clinton vetoing the ban on partial-birth abortion.

"We own no obedience to the Pope"
Interesting video out of the Diocese of Nashville. Presider Breen of St. Edward's in Nashville has some rather interesting things to say, such as;

  • "We owe no obedience [to the Pope] as adults, except to our conscience."
  • In favor of artificial birth control.
  • In favor of divorce.
  • Repeatedly calls for the ordination of women.
  • Blames lack of Latino priests as the reason why Latinos are leaving the Church in droves (no mention of poor catechisis).
  • Calls for democracy instead of theocracy, in direct contradiction to what Christ instituted.
  • "A community... loved by The Lord, and all who love God's people." His emphasis is on 'US', and not on loving and worshiping God.

Pope Nancy Speaks
When did Jesus rate the "right to life", Pope Nancy?

Liberal Democrat Nancy Pelosi has a habit of preaching Christianity, even though she's in direct contradiction with the teachings of her own Faith.

Pelosi has attempted to give marching orders to American Bishops when she stated in May of this year; "The cardinals, the archbishops, the bishops that come to me... say, 'We want you to pass immigration reform,' and I said, 'I want you to speak about it from the pulpit,'"

The second in line to the Presidency (thanks to the likes of Rep Mike McIntyre (D-NC) and friends), Pelosi has also publicly stated that she has a responsibility to advance a political agenda that is "in keeping with the values" of Jesus Christ, "The Word made Flesh."

In an article published by CalCatholic.com, they've reported that another faux-ordination has just taken place in San Diego.

CalCatholic cited the San Diego Union-Tribune in reporting that it was a certain Nancy Corran that was, “ordained by roughly 150 parishioners of the Mary Magdalene Apostle Catholic Community rather than a bishop on Saturday, July 31, 2010.”

What to do with Ground Zero

It's being reported that the former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has suggested that Ground Zero in New York City be declared a National Military Battlefield to bring to an end the debate of whether or not a mosque should be built there.

Gingrich stated that "More Americans were killed at the World Trade Center than in any place in the United States since the Civil War."

I'll go one better than the Congressman... much like the U.S.S. Arizona, have Ground Zero declared a National Cemetery. I'm quite sure than many of the ashes remain on site.
