It's time the Church purge herself of the false gospel of social justice and peace at any price. It's time to throw the Democrats out because obviously they refuse to repent. Only the Gospel of repentance and conversion, righteousness and holiness matters. I written extensively on this topic:

There is much, much more that I have written, but these seven blog entries suffice. Sadly, we'll never here the truth from the pulpit about John 6:24-27:
"When the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they themselves got into boats and came to Capernaum looking for Jesus. And when they found him across the sea they said to him, 'Rabbi, when did you get here?' Jesus answered them and said, 'Amen, amen, I say to you, you are looking for me not because you saw signs but because you ate the loaves and were filled. Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him the Father, God, has set his seal.'"
"...aging hippies and those who pine after Woodstock..." LOL Beautiful. And accurate, too!
Political ideology usually trumps religion when you got a Christian or a Jew who is also Leftist.
By the way, Papa Beni, in his first encyclical, Deus Caritas Est, made three beautiful points about "social justice" in the Church:
"...men “full of the Spirit and of wisdom” (cf. Acts 6:1-6). In other words, the social service which they [the group of seven] were meant to provide was absolutely concrete, yet at the same time it was also a spiritual service; theirs was a truly spiritual office which carried out an essential responsibility of the Church, namely a well-ordered love of neighbour."
"The Church cannot neglect the service of charity any more than she can neglect the Sacraments and the Word. A few references will suffice to demonstrate this. Justin Martyr († c. 155) in speaking of the Christians' celebration of Sunday, also mentions their charitable activity, linked with the Eucharist as such."
"The Church cannot and must not take upon herself the political battle to bring about the most just society possible. She cannot and must not replace the State. Yet at the same time she cannot and must not remain on the sidelines in the fight for justice. She has to play her part through rational argument and she has to reawaken the spiritual energy without which justice, which always demands sacrifice, cannot prevail and prosper."

Good post - I cross-referenced to it in this evening's post at Commentarius de Prognosticis:
