Much political hay has been made just a few years ago concerning the "racist and bigoted" Minutemen who wanted to do the job the Federal government failed to do. As of late in regards to the "racist and bigoted" Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and SB-1070 who want to do the job the Federal government fails to do.
But one inconvenient fact that the pro-illegal alien mob leaves out, is that neither the Minutemen nor Jan Brewer ever beat anyone to a bloody mess. Can the same be said of César Chávez and the United Farm Workers union?

Hummm, it sounds like Cesar Chavez understood something that the modern liberal didn't, namely illegel aliens are a menace to the economy and the interests of the working class. Although some bleeding hearts might be appalled by what ol'CC and the UFW did to the illegals, if the immigration authorities were doing their jobs, what they had to do wouldn't have been nessasary. We face a similar situation today. The federal government refuses to enforce their own laws, so the states are picking up the slack. If the feds prevent the state mgovernment from protecting their citizens, the citizens will take the law into their own hands. Can anyone say 'lynch law'? I hope this does not happen, but if the Feds allow things to go downhill, this will probably happen.
