I am not opposed to some sort of nationally sponsored (vs. "required") health plan in principle. I AM opposed to it in practice, i.e. this current disaster that is about to drop on us. If a good one were to be passed, I believe it would have to involve lower levels of gov't (the principle of subsidiarity) and be private sector-based. A good plan would also presuppose serious tort reform and the elimination of about 75% of the lawyer ambulance-chasers out there.
The sex scandals, the Teabaggers...
If they can make us look dangerous enough then they can persecute us and no one will bat an eye.
