Is it really asking so much to have our shepherds to have a spine? There have been pathetically few... a whopping ONE by my count... that have had the courage to speak plainly, truthfully and in no uncertain terms, in defense of Christ's Church.

Case in point;

I've already pointed out a couple of times how the ArchPresider Phony-Baloney Roger Mahony of Loose Angles blogs to the world that he is "encouraged by the words and promises of President Obama..." *Grovel, grovel, snort, snort.*

And our own intrepid Cardinal George of Chi-Town (you remember who's from da south-side, dontchya?);

George of Chicago told Catholic News Service March 23, shortly after U.S. President Barack Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. (Wow. I'm underwhelmed by this Tower of Jello.)

"We are certainly concerned about division in the church, because bishops have to be the people who are concerned about its unity, about keeping people together around Christ," he said. (I guess well deserved excommunications are off the table.)

The cardinal said it remained to be seen whether the executive order promised by Obama would be adequate to keep the status quo on federal funding of abortion.

"The president's executive order puts in some administrative protections that we are very grateful for, but an administrative order doesn't substitute for a statute," he said. (Michael Voris has already pointed out that Dinglebarry's "executive order" is worthless. The President of the United States DOESN'T make law, nor can he change law. Congress does that.)
