A Case For Impeachment
Two cases, to be exact

About a week ago, I had a posting with the above image. My co-conspirator, Former Altar Boy made the following comment;

Nice idea if The Zero had actually committed an impeachable offense.Now I know for a fact that FAB wasn't being a smart-ass, he was bringing up a valid point. A point that I've given some thought to. Two points come to mind -

1. The (in)famous "Cornhusker Kickback" and "Louisiana Purchase" along with the sweetheart deals that certain unions got on their "Cadillac health care plans" sure do make health care payments nice for residents of two particular states and certain union members... but what about the rest of us? Isn't there something called equal protection under the law? Yep, there sure is.

What The Zero did was illegal. He deserves to be impeached and convicted.

2. Stimulus grants (not loans) to various states totally destroy the notion of 'no taxation without representation'. Why are my tax dollars being given to certain bloated states who can't balance their own check books? Who represents ME in Sacramento or Albany? NOBODY! That's called taxation without representation... and we fought a war over that long ago and far away.

What The Zero did was illegal. He deserves to be impeached and convicted.Many of us remember when President Ford refused to bail out New York City back in the 1970's. Here's an interesting quote from Ford as to why he refused NYC;

“The people of this country will not be stampeded. They will not panic when a few desperate New York officials and bankers try to scare New York’s mortgage payments out of them.”True then, true now. Even if it's one a helluva grander scale.
