We Now Have A 'National Religion'?
Silly me, I always thought the Constitution forbade that sort of thing
It's that time of year for all those year in review segments. CBS's The Early Show was especially gag inducing.

Harry Smith set the tone with his opening comments:
"Politics, and patriotism and the presidency: it is the place where the secular and the religious merge. One of the sacraments of our national religion is the inauguration. So it was that as many as two million pilgrims made their way to Washington and the Mall to witness this most sacred event."

(heavy, heavy sigh) Prepare your soul for martyrdom. Wow, what a clear-cut difference between good & evil we have in America today. If it comes about, I hope to be found worthy to die for the Faith.

I remember similar stories like that when Carter was elected.
God grant me the wherewithal and presence of mind to die for the Faith also!
I have sharpened my sword, adjusted my armor and loaded my Bushmaster M-4 and Springfield 1911, and have said my prayers. Just waiting on His Holiness to sound the call: CRUSADE!
