It's NOT The End Of The Decade!
Has everyone forgotten how to count to 10?
And the Final Jeopardy Answer is:
This is the date of the first day of the 2d decade of the 21st century. And the Final Jeopardy answer is:
What is January 1, 2011? RIGHT!
Gang, there was no "year 0". If I gotta see one more "end of the decade" segment on TV, I think I'm gonna scream!

I am past screaming & ready to knock a few heads together. esp if they take CE on it as well.
It may be technically true that decade changes are on years ending in 1, but most people group decades by second to last number in the year. Pop culture counts decades like that, ten years from 0-9 that all share the same second to last number. TV end of decade specials most likely are talking about pop culture references of the past decade, so one could say it would be fitting to use a "pop culture decade" for those specials.
...and pop culture's got it wrong. Sheesh! They can't even get the date right!
1-10, as in Decades of The Rosary. 2001 started THIS Century. 2010 is last year of DECADE:
Yes The Networks & a few blogs are making me want to BARF.
The good news is that when you average your income over the decades, you divide by nine instead of ten and come out with more money.
There must be too many people with just too much time on their hands.
