His statement is backed up by a report commissioned by the US bishops that found that in the overwhelming majority of cases the clergy involved were homosexuals, with 81 percent of victims being adolescent males.
And yes, I'm going to point out the obvious. A real easy way to spot these clerical cork-suckers is to find out just how much of an association they had with the active homo-population prior to their ordination (or still do since).
Another easy spot is to listen to just how many times they call for "social justice" for all regardless of sexual orientation, in their sermons.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- anyone who thinks some guy sloshing his erect penis around in another man's feces filled colon is normal, obviously doesn't understand the meaning of normal.

KICK EM OUT!!!!!! How can parents even trust their children around them anymore? You just can't! Not till Rome cleans house of ALL OF THEM! I'm so sick and tired of them and their sick minds preying on kids and having "partners" as if it's some right owed to them. These sickos deviantly entered into OUR CHURCH, and its way past due they HIT THE ROAD. Leave our children and OUR CHURCH to the faithful who want their true Catholic Church back, with young men and boys being lead by HOLY and CELIBATE priests who will be examples of what Christ expected out of His priesthood, and allow these boys to mature in a good and Healthy environment of faithful and traditional teachings of the faith, bringing forth more priestly vocations. Same goes for the butch-lesbian wicca, new age "nuns" who think they can run the dioceses'. Kick em all out. Clear out the Smoke of Satan once and for all!!
Out of concerned curiosity: are homosexual men more likely to prey on young boys... then heterosexual men are likely to prey on young girls?
Or is it just easier for homosexual men to get access to young boys because no one dares suggest that boys need to be just as protected as girls from sexual predators? (Because, God forbid, we might offend homosexuals by suggesting that even THEY have perverts in their ranks?)

I'm not sure if you're trying to say that it's a homosexual thing or what? I am a mother to an 11 yr old boy. If a man preyed on him and sexually assaulted him, in my mind, it would be pedophilia since he's so immature and child like still.
Are you saying because the age of the boys was 11-17, they should know better, do something, etc?

What I'm getting at is this --- the priesthood is overrun with homosexuals. Pre-adolescent or post-adolescent... it makes no difference to me. Any guy who engages in sexual intercourse with another male (of any age) is one sick puppy. The priesthood is the LAST place we need these perverts.

There isn't much robust, scientifically oriented, statistical data on the subject. But there is some deterministic subject. For example, the USCCB-sponsored John Jay College of Criminal Justice's study concluded that 84% (anyway less than 85%) of the reported sexual abuse within Catholic settings since 1950 had pubescent boys as victims. This is not pedophilia! This is homosexual male predation on young boys in their adolescence. The study did conclude that the majority of homosexually oriented clerics or other Church-related people preyed on children.
I read another study on the internet--I forge where or the details thereof--that stated that a girl has a relatively greater chance within the family of being sexually abused (a dirty Uncle Harry situation) while a boy has a relatively greater chance of being abused outside the family situation.
I don't think we can justify beating up on all clerics with a homosexual orientation, just because a minority--a significant minority!--abuse boys. That said, IMHO, a man who is called to the Holy Priesthood gives up (or sacrifices) the opportunity for wife and children for the sake of the Kingdom of God.
The Church does not need a man for the Holy Priesthood who gives up his male friend's behind for the sake of the Kingdom of God. Yes, crudely stated, but I am sure you get my point!
I also realize there are some ironies involved with the Holy Priesthood and homosexuals. For example, I have a profound admiration for the late Russian Orthodox (of the ROCOR) Priest-Monk, Seraphim Rose. In his secular life before he entered the religious state, Eugene Rose was a sexually active homosexual caught up in the Bohemian beatnik movement of the late 1950s/early 1960s. He repented irreligious and sexually perverse lifestyle and entered the faith of Holy Orthodoxy. Eugene Rose went on to become a very holy monk. During the Communist era in Russia of the 1960s to the early 1980s, Fr. Seraphim was a superstar among the Russian Orthodox. His writings were smuggled into Russia as part of the underground press.
This and perhaps other very few exceptions aside, the Holy Priesthood and the monastic life is not a life suitable for those of homosexual orientation IMHO. Would you put a few randy males in a convent of nuns? Fallen human nature says No! If so, then why put men with a same-sex attraction in the midst of other men?
There are also some considerable number of abusers of girls, pre-pubescent and pubescent. And of adult ladies too. These men should be driven out of the Priesthood too.

Let me expand upon VSC's response above. The age of the victim has nothing do with it, certainly not that older children "should know better." That's about as logical as saying a woman "asked for it" because of the clothes she wore. VSC's point was that the majority of these particular priestly perverts wanted boys within that age range. (Recall there were some priests you were actual pedophiles, i.e. going after even younger children.) More importantly, these sexual molesters are also very particular within the 11-17 age group. Some want only hairless boys and will more on to a new victim as soon as body hair begins to appear. Others prey on the next group, until they become to big, etc., etc.
