I'm offended because it only goes to minus 20. Other than that, what can I say? Ingenuity at its finest!
Cavey, offended by the meter, no, offended by how Kennedy was sent off, definitely.
Although I do agree that a -20 is way to high of a number. -100 or more would be better.
Strangely by now what still bothers me most is that if there is a working class wife who has endured a drunken husband due to the vow she made to God for decades and she makes a pittance per year in income, she has zero chance of canonization for virtue within marriage or exchanging letters with Pope Benedict as Kennedy did.
It would have been a nicer week if Benedict was busy finding some spot for Bishop Martino somewhere....rather than being involved in a mutual celebrity moment with Ted. The combo of Martino being vanished Argentina style while lesser men thrive under Benedict even though they too have faults....is dire. If Benedict is God's Rottweiler, the breed itself is undergoing mutations that are unforetunate.
Let me see if I got this right, Benedict accepted Martino's resignation but Benedict installed Sarkosy as a canon of a papal church while Sarkosy is materially both an adulterer and a pro choice politician....pass the Jack Daniels since Proverbs allows it in dire straits... "Give wine to him who is perishing, strong drink to him who is at the edge of the abyss, that he might forget his sorrows..." Proverbs 31:6-7...

Great meter!! May I "borrow" it? Two things I would do differently: first, the meter would go to minus infinity; second, the meter would have the words "Fat flying" added.

bilbannon, my understanding is that it's Sarkozy's place as leader of France that entitles him to be a canon, with no regard to the man himself.

Yes I heard that rationalization...unforetunately we seem to have one for every incident that should not happen. France is about as Catholic as New Jersey....lots of Catholics...lots of pro-choice leaders voted in....lots of dangerous tailgaiting on the turnpike.
