As Vir Speluncae Catholicus Asked Rhetorically...
What kind of priest would?
What kind of priest would, indeed.
What kind of a priest would exhort a Catholic Youth Group NOT to pray the Rosary at Adoration?
What kind of priest would allude to the Rosary as idolatry?
What kind of priest would state that the "'Mysteries of Light' are the only mysteries that reflect Christ"? What kind of priest would, indeed. And some still don't understand why I refer to the Cape Fear Deanery as a spiritual wasteland.
And the shame of it all... this isn't the exception in this Deanery, it's the norm. And even if the offending presiders were canned tomorrow, there'd be 10 just like 'em in line to take their places.

Thank God the Seminarians we have coming through the ranks seem like a solid crew.
No Rosary, but Adoration? Sounds a bit schizophrenic to me...
In answer to your question, an Episcopalian? An Unitarian?
We had a priest at mass--a retired one helping out as a supply priest for Sunday masses--who disparaged the rosary. He referred to the recitation of the Hail Marys as "ratta tat tat." He pissed me off royally! Another fruit of the "spirit" of Vatican II.
How can he have done that when Popes from Pope Pius IX on have written many encyclicals on the Holy Rosary?
