Another Posting Gets Legs
Coffee Catholic asks, we deliver

In response to Former Altar Boy's posting entitled "Eight Habits of Highly Effective Bishops", Coffee Catholic drops this 500 lb tank of napalm. I say that *we* lay Catholics have the ability to help our Bishops be strong, holy Bishops.

I'll explain:

The Feminists and Liberals harass the priests and bishops until they get what they want. And we mope along and comply. We sit in our pews and feel bad and then complain on our blogs.

Well, if there's this much weakness at the parish level then it's no surprise that there is so much weakness also when faced with the harassing, whining, griping Liberal/Feminist press!

Well!! If more *real* Catholics (vs. Spirit of Vat II yahoos) would get off of our spiritual asses and FIGHT BACK then we'd show our Bishops we are not going to take this crap any more!

What if we refused to sing the stuff? And belted out a reverent hymn instead? AND THEN COMPLAINED!

What would happen if we stood up and walked out during liturgical dance, and other abuses? AND THEN COMPLAINED!

What would happen if someone stood up in the pew and went all St. Catherine of Siena on the Priest's/Bishop's/Decon's/Feminist's backside when they started preaching crap from the pulpit? AND THEN COMPLAINED! I'm serious here! How many of us have ever stood up and said, "LIAR! The words you're speaking are SIN and I'm not going to sit here and allow you to put the souls of my fellow Catholics at risk!"

How many Catholic women are heeding the words of Our Lady of Fatima regarding modesty? And wearing big, fat, obvious veils on our heads that say, "KISS OFF!" to the Spirit of Vatican II?

I'm walking the walk, not just talking the talk here! I've had people send someone TO MY HOUSE in order to try and tell me off about the mantilla. So I went and bought EVEN MORE. And now, in order to really make the point, I wear a veil every time I leave the farm. (Or a bonnet if I can't get a veil on in time.) So neener, neener, Spirit of Vatican II!

If we Catholics started to fight back **at the parish level** and forced the Feminists and Liberals to BACK OFF, just imagine how much this would force Priests and Bishops to realize that we are not going to sit there like lumps while they destroy Holy Mother Church!

We all talk tough on our blogs but how many of us actually have the spines to start standing up for Holy Mother Church right there in our own parishes? IN FRONT OF EVERYONE?

How many MEN have the guts to walk up to other men and say, "You need to set a far better example. This is the HOLY MASS! You're here to worship the KING OF KINGS! Would you dress like that if you were meeting with the President?"

It's not enough to demand that our priests and bishops defend the Faith ~ we have a moral obligation to defend the Faith as well. Look at all of those Saints that were not clergy but still had the guts to stand right up for the Faith even though they were denounced and ridculed and labelled "Nuts"??

Oh, and what about those Saints that DIED BRUTAL DEATHS for the Faith? Have they died in vain so we can sit around whining on blogs, with too many of us wimping out, jumping ship, and becoming SSPX? Holy Mother Church needs fighters right here in the trenches! Not going AWOL!

We only have ourselves to blame if our parishes continue to be held in the grip of "The Spirit of Vatican II." Holy Mother Church needs active, brave **warriors** not just complainers.

And folks, I am practicing what I'm preaching. And at a great price to myself, I might add. As I type I'm in yet another battle where I'm refusing to back down **even though I've been ordered to do so by a priest.** I live on a small island where I'm mostly ostracized and ridiculed. I'm laughed at in the streets! I'm suffering daily for living the Faith and not backing down for ANYTHING or ANYONE. I'm not just typing a tough comment! I've had ENOUGH.

Cavemen, Cavelady, I'd like to see this comment put up on your blog so maybe we can pass the club along. Maybe anger enough "traditional" Catholics that we start going all St. Catherine of Siena. Small sparks lead to big fires! And you can put there: COFFEE CATHOLIC WROTE THIS AND SHE'S NOT AFRAID OF YOU.

Amen, sister.

My veil is always in place when I can see the tabernacle, or at least when I know it's there. I also wear it after Mass, so the maximum folks can see it.

They may think I'm nuts, but eventually someone will ask, and then I tell them. And hand out a flyer on the topic.

Keep the CATHOLIC faith!

Amen, stay in there, I and a small group from Our Lady of Lourdes in Massapequa Park New York, have been fighting the fight, while the rest of the parish capitulates to a Modernistic Pastor that was put into our parish by a Bishop that did not listen to 450 people at a meeting with his committee. We were ignore, had a priest that the new Pastor brought in with him, expelled, forced the new pastor to remove the Chair from in front of the Altar.....etc. It doesn't take much to be the opposition to Evil,
"turn your back on Evil, and it will flee from you" Any posts that I make have a reaction of anger thrusted at me, not my message, but character assassination. Just keep posting the truth, and do God's will and try and be a faithful servant.
God Bless you,
Yours in Jesus,

Again, I say CC is right on point. We have fallen into the trap of "political correctness" so bad in politics, schools, and society in general, we are afraid to speak out becuase we might give offense!

Who of you withheld money from your parish after the priest homosexual scandals and donated to other Catholic charities or orthodox seminaries(e.g. FSSP)? Good for you. But how many of you wrote a letter to the pastor AND the bishop and told them what you were doing? I thought so.

In closing, I have to say that Prevat2, a convert, has been a stalwart Christian soldier as along as I've known him, fighting the good fight and never afraid to wait after Mass and confront an errant priest.

Yes, yes, yes. It is amazing to see and hear Catholics complain about the general lunacy in a parish, but that's all they do, complain, and only to the pastor. Don't just let the pastor know, but confront those laity who are also pushing the nonsense. Let them know you are going to push back and then VOLUNTEER TO BE ON EVERYTHING. Be a pain in the (side) in all those groups and committees that push the nonsense. It is incredible how fast this nonsense will be stopped when a few determined folks stand up and say something. I've seen it, I've done it. And maybe the pastor (who might have a soft spine) is just waiting for some good, solid folks to step forward and take over the groups that are pushing this.
And lastly, if the silent, suffering majority band together and simply stop donating to that nonsense, it will stop almost immediately. Right or wrong pastors see the collection like a Nielsen Rating. When changes start and collections drop - they know it. Please don't give me the line about still donating because it is "giving to God." Read that yearly financial statement - the majority of your money stays right there to pay for the huge parish 'staff' that pushes out the nonsense. If you don't pay them, it won't happen. But you have to talk to others in the parish and make it an organized form of protest. Yes Catholics, you'll actually have to SPEAK to another Catholic and not just warm the pew on Sunday.

Thank you Coffee Catholic, we all need that reminder.

Itzik, we are familiar here with your plight over at OLL. We've posted about it in the past and you have a lot of prayers going out for all you're enduring up there. Please keep us updated over the doings of Father 'Closeup'.

Since my own blog was basically becoming an echo-chamber of The Cave (hehe) I've re-named it, "The Spirit of Vatican II Must Go" and I'm hoping that, somehow, it might inspire some Catholics somewhere in this world to stand up to, and push back the (dark!!) spirit of Vatican II.

I'm not sure how effective blogs really are... but the blogs *I've* encountered here at the Cave have made a huge impact on helping *me* to grow a Catholic spine of iron over the past 3 years. So thank you VERY much.

(Even if I don't always post a comment, I'm deffiantely reading your blogs!!)

That's not to say I'm a perfect Catholic by any stretch of the imagination. But I've deffinately come a long way in living up to my motto: "Buck up and be a Catholic!"

It's still

For the Glory of God and in defence of Holy Mother Church, I hope that my crazy, oftentimes emotional, blogs help in some way. Judging from the amount of hateful comments I get (and delete hehe) I'm obviously hitting a nerve.

Here's to gutsy Catholic bloggers!! Thank you all for helping me buck up and be a Catholic!!!!!
