Voters Remorse...Already?
I remember once reading the advertising slogan for the Ford Edsel was "Once you've seen it, you'll never forget it. Once you've owned it, you'll never want to change."
Ohh... the "change" word. Sound familiar? And we all know what a glowing success the Edsel was.
Well gang, it sure does look like some of the shine is starting to come of the cheap gold electro-plating that is The South-Side Stooge.
Support for the economic recovery plan working its way through Congress has fallen again this week. For the first time, a plurality of voters nationwide oppose the $800-billion-plus plan.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 37% favor the legislation, 43% are opposed, and 20% are not sure.
Two weeks ago, 45% supported the plan. Last week, 42% supported it.

Its amazing to see how pure political mastery plays out . . . Obama is in an amazing position since technically he didnt write the bill, Pelosi and the gang did. So . .
1) If the package works, he can claim credit
2)If the package fails, he can distance himself from it (Not completely but enough to save face)
Furthermore, since we WILL eventually bounce out of this recession (some economists say we can see rebounds as early as 6 months from now)the dems will take credit for the rebound. . . though the stimulus package will have had very little to do with it.
Hey, cant blame them I guess, they need SOME way to get their ridiculous wasteful spending in.

If this fails there is no way for him to distance himself. This is why many believe he is making the largest political blunder in history (which is due to the fact that he is a community organizer and not a chief executive).
He has gone on record and fought for this thing to pass, calling press conferences and such. He has tied himself specifically to this bill. Many are confused as to why he would risk the political clout on something so unpopular. I submit he is very stupid, or defiantly dismissive of the American people. Of course both could be true.
I'm with SV, he can't distance himself from this stupidous bill because he's been screaming so loud for it.
All that glitters is not gold, and you can't shine s***, and we told them so.
Have you noticed how may times BO has said "We won," as his justification for doing what he wants, as if the Legislative branch in totally in league with him? The 54 Southern Democrats in the House who went against him sure don't feel that way.
Obama is a playground bully, all talk so long as he has someone to back him up, and folds like a house of cards when confronted alone. In this case, nanny-nanny-boo-boo isn't going to work, and he is going to go down in flames in 4 short years. Get your money out of the stock market, save every penny you can, stock up on ammo before that is too expensive to purchase, and hunker down with your rosary until it passes. With a bit of luck, he could even be impeached, whereupon we would have the dork from Delaware to punch around. That might even be entertaining.
Meanwhile, babies are dying and need our prayers, so get on it, folks.
