Time For Me To Ask A Serious QuestionSeriously...
I promise to refrain from referring to the USCCB by a certain crude nickname. I also promise not to say that the USCCB produces more hot air than all the combined global bovine flatulence of the last decade. I also vow to keep from calling the USCCB's news organ "The Ministry of Propaganda". For this posting, anyhow.
Aaaaaanyhow, last might I was wishing for about a dozen (hundred... but who's counting?) of those fake foam bricks that sports fans buy so they can throw them at their TVs without smashing it into a million pieces.
You see, I was watching the EWTN broadcast of the Vigil For Life from the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in DC. Bishop, Archbishop and Cardinal... rows of 'em... all making a big showing about defending unborn children from the slaughter of abortion.
All this on the heels of Joey Hairplugs receiving Holy Communion in direct opposition to Rome. And The Botoxed One even received a standing ovation from the laity, and assumably, from the priests present. All this in the face of what was reported in LifeSiteNews.com as;
With that said, I have a serious question to the USCCB as a whole -- how in the world do you intend for anyone to take you seriously? I hate to tell you this, guys... but we know phoniness and gutlessness when we see it.
In the battle for the salvation of souls, if the Majors and Gunnery Sergeants turn a blind eye and ignore the orders of the General, no one should be shocked when the battle is lost.
And that's exactly what's happening in the battle for souls. What weakly passes for "leadership" in America is smiling and looking the other way while souls fall to hell like snowflakes in winter.
Our shepherds are going to have an awful lot to answer for.

I'll have you know that I take the JIFC very seriously. i take seriously that through moral cowardice, personal vice, politicing and social climbing, they are leading the Church in America to hell in a handbasket!

I agree with IR...I wonder what would happen if the Holy Father disbanded the USCCB? (The uplifting of the excommunications and the dissolving of the USCCB in the same week, why not?)
I wonder if Biden is now a resident of the Archdiocese of Washington according to Archbishop Wuerl's logic.
In any case, with 4 bishops having their excommunications lifted, maybe they can be appointed to some of the empty American sees.
