The Holy Gospel According To Lee
If you're gonna be a Lee Eremy fan, then be a REAL Lee Eremy fan
Helmet tip to The Enigmatic Chris
"A little religious communication might not be a bad idea at this stage of the game. Now myself, I don't take any chances, I talk to Mohammed, Buddha, Mr. Jesus H. Christ Himself and any other religious honchos I can come up with." ~ Sgt. Maj. Hafner (R. Lee Ermey) as he tells what's left of his unit that they are surrounded (and heavily outnumbered) by a North Vietnamese Army regiment in the film The Siege of Firebase Gloria.
With that said, you gotta check out the site for the cult that has all the bases covered.
Under the heading of Benefits of being a member of the Order, I've found out that (among other things)"They will be real Apostles of Christ/Buddha/Krishna...". And I also found out that "Our lives must become as symbols of Christ/Buddha/Krishna... Conversely, we must see Christ/Buddha/Krishna/Zarathustra in each and every person we come into contact with...". Gee I wonder if Zarathustra spake to them? And the real deal closer for me... a religion that has steps. No, not like steps to the altar, steps like Alcoholics Anonymous.
The Degree of Seeker (Working on steps 1-5)
The Degree of Disciple (Working on steps 6-10)
The Degree of Devotee or Nun/Monk (Working on steps 11-14. Nuns and monks will use the Book of Spiritual Directives of the Order, the Rule of St. Benedict, and Divine Office.) We utilize the HIFM Mass, the Novus Ordo Mass, the Tridentine Mass, the Anglican 1928 service for Holy Communion, the Episcopal service for Holy Communion, and others as they are explored by the Bishop. But I must admit, I'm impressed that "Reverend Sister Jan" (below) seamlessly has her lil' buddha statue right next to an image of Christ. I especially like her diploma from Wassamatta U. in it's $1.38 Wal-Mart frame. I wonder how many boxtops she had to save up for her degree.
And I must yet again, give kudos to to the homepage that lists their version of Holy Days of Obligation;
August 2: Lughnassad
August 9: Tisha B'av
August 16: Blessed Virgin Mary
August 23: Krishna Day
August 30: Paryushana (Jain) But should I really be all that shocked? Right there on their homepage, they give equal billing to the Celtic Cross, the Moslem star and Crescent, the Yoga Om, and the Satanic Pentagram.
I also have a sad feeling that these folks are all fallen away Catholics. Poor, pitiable souls. They are desperatly in need of prayers.

2 Comments:
They are "poor, pitable, souls" and I will pray for them--for their conversion back home.
Do you want to encourage praying the Divine Office?
I’ve just created a badge for blogs and websites.
Please have a look here:

Let me know if there are any issues with this – size, etc.
