Because I have useless trivia floating in my brain....when we lived in Korea there was an article in the base paper warning residents that not all Korean dogs were vaccinated. The reason was that Koreans only vaccinated dogs that they meant to be pets. They felt that the vaccinations ruined the taste of meat.

Now you have useless trivia in your brain too.

Italian Military Victories Over Anyone

Hell's bells, Caesar wrote a LONG book about them, which I had to read and translate.

It begins: Omnia Gallia divisa est in tres partes...

But maybe JuCeasar was not Italian?

Cavey,

Romans ARE ITALIANOS!!!!! Where do you thing Roma is located????? It was called Italia even then.

However, unlike Dad29 I caught the correct meaning.

Your line about Italiano Military Victories (or the lack thereof) reminded me of a line from 1 of my favorite Italiano comedians, Pat Cooper (aka Pasquale Caputo)about the same subject. As he put it talking about the Italiano Army: "We couldn't beat the Etheopians!"

Sad, but true!

Being of Italian ancestry, I'm reminded of an old joke claiming that Jesus wasn't Jewish, but Italian... because (a) he lived at home until he was 30, (b) he always hung around with the same dozen close friends, and (c) his Mother is a Saint.

(hehh)
