Switzerland Grows A Backbone?
Yodle-Lay-Hee-Get The Hell Outta Here-Hoooooo
What would you do if you invite a family to stay with you, and some of the children of that particular family decided that they wanted to;
a. Beat the hell outta your kids.
b. Smoke Crack in your backyard.
c. Steal your cash, credit cards, debit cards and ATM cards.
d. All of the above.
Personally, I'd throw 'em out so damn fast they'd never even come close to having the screen door swat 'em on the ass.
Well, it looks as if the docile, chocolate eating, cuckoo clock making Swiss have had about enough. The Swiss People's Party has proposed new legislation that would see entire families of immigrants deported if their children are convicted of crimes involving violence, drugs or benefit fraud.
And of course, The Swiss People's Party is being accused of Nazi-like behavior, etc, etc, vomitus maximus.
Never mind the fact that one in five "Swiss" aren't even Swiss. Let's blow off the report by the Swiss Federal Police that the likelihood of an islamist terrorist attack in the country is rising. Forget about that one of the more popular names for newborn boys in Switzerland is Mohammed. Sorry Hans and Marcel.
And my most favorite ignored story coming out of Europe;
Fear of Militant Islamic Threat in Switzerland
June 1, 2007
The central position of the Swiss government suggests Islamic militants are using the country as bases to launch extremist publicity and solidify support abroad.
The 2006 report on internal security asserts that Switzerland shelters violent extremists and that it is not excluded that of the preparations of attempts took place on his territory. John luc Vez claims that suggests there is an increasing threat from the extreme left and from hooliganism.
There has been a 62% increase in disturbances since the first attack, and it is suspected that between 1500 to 2000 supporters in Switzerland are inclined to the violence. Financial exchanges through the internet have increased.
I guess everyone's already forgotten the moslem riots in France; the moslem led shut-down of downtown London for three week-ends straight over a cartoon drawing. Moslems world-wide calling for the death of Pope Benedict because he dared speak the truth about that kiddie rapist, mohammed. Short memories, huh, Europe? But not TOO short. The gutless liberals of Europe have succeeded in calling patriotic Swiss "Nazis".
Oh yeah... those dangerous "right-wing extremist Swiss neo-nazis" have the audacity to try to take their country back from the barbaric moslem hordes. How dare they!
By the way... in case anyone missed it, The Swiss People's Party isn't calling for the wholesale deportation of foreigners, just those and their families who commit serious crimes. And yes, they can do that. After all, those foreigners are GUESTS. And guests can be told to leave if they don't behave themselves.

Well, Kevin, as someone who lived as a guest of Switzerland (Schweiz, La Suisse, Svizzera) for two years, I wouldn't call them Nazis, but they are quite xenophobic and part of the reason is to remain a wealthy country (hence why they are also the banking whores of the world and will protect your money as zealously as the Colombian drug cartel's). During my time there, a dossier was kept on me by the State, such as they are for all foreigners and a lot of citizens as well.
But, you know what? I didn't care. I followed Swiss law and went about my business and subsequently had little problems living there, save for the occasional digestive issues brougth about by the fact that every freakin', bloody meal they served featured !%@#!* cheese somehow, someway . . .
Oh, and every freakin', bloody cow has a bell around its neck. I kid you not - I challenge anyone to bring back a picture of a cow out in an alpine pasture that doesn't have a !%@#!* bell around its neck! Incredible! Where in blazes do the Swiss find the time to do that!?!?! But, I digress . . .
One big difference - children born in Switzerland to non-citizens ARE NOT automatically Swiss citizens. There can be several generations of immigrant families pass before one is allowed - at the discretion of the State - to become a Swiss. The United States is actually one of the few countries that have automatic citizenship for those born here.
Imagine if we changed our policy and followed Switzerland's lead?
The children of non-citizens, I mean, not the cows . . .
Let's hope the rest of Europe can wake up and pull itself out of the nose-dive that it's in.
Speaking of immigration, has anyone ever looked at Mexico's immigration laws?
And to think Vicente Fox had the audacity to tell the United States its policies were unfair...
Good for the swiss for realizing its their country and it has borders and are willing to protect it.
"During my time there, a dossier was kept on me by the State, such as they are for all foreigners..."
Another defect of America's immigration enforcement = foreigners entering on visa's and disappearing in the country, never to be found again.
Well, at the rate we are going the Swiss will be the only Westerners left by the end of the century.
Another defect of America's immigration enforcement = foreigners entering on visa's and disappearing in the country, never to be found again.
Until, of course, they fly a plane into a building...
The only point I'd make respecting that is that the Swiss have only about 7.5 million people, and about 2.66 migrants per 1,000 Swiss per the CIA World Factbook (https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/sz.html ...sorry, don't know how to activate the link). I should think it's a lot easier to manage extensive dossiers on every migrant under those circumstances.
