"Religion Cannot Be The Foundation Of A Conflict"

WARNING!! This post concerns 'Religion As Foundation For Conflict'! Oh, and harsh language, too
Bishop Thomas Wenski drones on about "mutual respect and honest dialogue" with the heretical moslems. Someone pass me a barf bag. Doesn't this dope get it? They've been trying to kill us all for 1,400 years.
Yet again, we are force fed the Vatican II drivel about how moslems 'adore the one God', etc, etc, ad nauseum. No they don't worship the one God. I don't know what bastardized version of God Bishop Tommy prays to, but I worship The Holy Trinity. You know... The Father, Son and Holy Ghost? Last I checked, moslems denied the Divinity of Christ, and the complete existence of the Holy Ghost.
Of course, we get the standard party line from Bishop Tommy, such as; "They [moslems] also honor Mary, his (notice the small case "h"?) virgin mother; at times they even call on her with devotion..." Blah, blah, blah, wonk, wonk, wonk. Looks as if the good bishop hasn't been reading up on his koran. Let me refresh his memory on what the moslems say about Christ and His Holy Mother --
Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, 'Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! Never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, though I know not what in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden. [Qur'an 5:116]
Ahhh... I get it now, God the Father admonished Christ for making Himself and The Blessed Mother 'gods'. And let's not forget that they refer to Christ as "Son of Mary", not as the Son of God. Again, denying Christ's divinity. Some respect, huh? If anything, that sounds pretty damn insulting to me.
He also refers to Mohammedanism as a "religion". Sorry, Bishop Tommy, there's only one religion. All other is heresy. Sheesh... wasn't he taught that in seminary? I learned that in the 6th grade.
And there's this little gem -- "Often, in the past, the voices of moderate Muslims, whether because of fear or a false sense of group solidarity, have not been heard." That's because finding a 'moderate moslem' is pretty much like finding a virgin in a whorehouse.
Sheesh, enough of the Art of Clerical Groveling. How 'bout someone actually standing up to islam and telling them to go to hell? It's the moslem rioting season in Europe right now (or is it the month-long Ramalamadingdong? I confuse the two) and damn few American news organs are even mentioning it. Meanwhile, Belgian cops are getting bricks thrown at them nightly.
And as far as 'Religion As Foundation For Conflict', whenever moslems burn down Catholic Churches, sell Catholics into slavery, murder Catholics by the truckload, that sure does sound to me like Defending my Religion As Foundation For Conflict is the order of the day.
How quickly Bishop Tommy forgets the moslem invasion of The Holy Land, The Defense of Christendom at Tours, The Defense of Christendom at Vienna, The Defense of Christendom at Lepanto, the Defense of Christendom in the southern Sudan (2 million dead Catholics and counting. We're losing that one, by the way).
Has anyone found a backbone donor for Bishop Tommy yet?

Bishop Tommy sounds like our Bishop Clarke in Rochester. Same stupid lines about "mutual respect" and tolerance.
