Hypocrisy 101
Firmly entrenched at a campus near you
Just a few short days ago, The University of North Carolina at Wilmington’s Women’s Resource Center sponsored a performance of The Vagina Monologues. The same UNCW that declared the Christmas Tree to be offensive (it's now simply known as "The Tree").
The same UNCW that boasts it's Chancellor, Rosemary DePaolo of sending out a "Seasons Greetings" e-card that has nary a mentioning of either the words Christmas or Jesus. As we all know, Christmas and Jesus are not only divisive and under-inclusive... but offensive as well. But I guess it's okay to prominently mention the words diversity and global citizens in one's e-greeting. Well, I guess that makes sense... if ones deity is Diversity and Globalism.
But back to defining what is and isn't offensive. I find it somewhat disconcerting and confusing that UNCW would deem The Christmas Tree "offensive", but when the Women’s Resource Center passes out popsicles in the shape of a human vagina (pussy-pops, as the college kids call them) during their performance of The Vagina Monologues, that's acceptable?
By the way, Chancellor Rosemary DePaolo hails from LINY. And with a name like that, I'll go out on a limb and wager she was at least born and raised a Catholic. Ahhh... The Progressive Spirit of Vatican II is alive and well in the halls of higher learning!
Without a doubt, the product of the marriage of Radical Ecumenism and Modernism must be the grotesquely Ugly Twins named Indifferentism and Relativism.
"Religious liberty might be supposed to mean that everybody is free to discuss religion. In practice it means that hardly anybody is allowed to mention it." ~ G.K. Chesterton
