Minor Update On The UAE Takeover Of American Ports
Just a few small points to bring up

It was initially reported that UAE government owned Dubai Ports World was slated to take control of the container operations at New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Miami, and New Orleans. Six ports in all.

That's not quite correct.

According to the port-operations subsidiary of the London-based Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Co. (P&O), DPW (Dubai Ports World) will pick up stevedore services at 12 East Coast ports including;
Portland, ME
Boston; MA
Davisville, RI
New York, NY
Newark, NJ
Philadelphia, PA
Camden, NJ
Wilmington, DE
Baltimore, MD
Newport News, VA
Norfolk, VA
Portsmouth, VA

Additionally, DPW will take over P&O stevedoring operations at nine ports along the Gulf of Mexico including:
Beaumont, TX
Port Arthur, TX
Galveston, TX
Houston, TX
Freeport, TX
Corpus Christi, TX
Lake Charles, LA
New Orleans, LA

P&O has recently contracted to operate terminals at the Port of Tampa for general and refrigerated cargo. This brings to 22 the total number of American ports where DPW will be acquiring P&O operations.

Like I said... just a minor update.

Nikita Krushshev once said that America would sell the shovel that would be used to kill us. That's the only thing I can think of whenever I read about this UAE deal. How on earth can anybody, even the most greedy craven fool think this is a good idea?
